Now is the time to sow the âPrecious Seed ofthe Gospelâ in order to
bring the Knowledge ofChrist to those millions who have not yet heard about
the saving graceofJesus Christ.
The âChurchRevivalâ and âChurch Growthâ should complement each
other.ThesecondcenturychurchFatherTertulliansaid, âThebloodofthemartyrs
became the seed ofthe Gospel.â This emphasises the fact that everybeliever is
the seed ofthe Gospel. The churchesshould not be content withjust organising
the believers into closed communities. In fact, this is not the true calling and
nature ofthe church.
The Great Commission ofJesus Christ is âGo ye unto the whole world
and makedisciples.âThechurchanditsmembersshould beâgoingâ and âmaking
disciples.â St. Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, in his three
missionaryjourneyâs. Preached and planted churches wherever he went.
TheMissionaryEra is areminderthat the churchesandthe missionfields
should continue themissionaryaspects ofthechurchâs calling. Ifthisis not done,
many unreached and un-evangelised areas and people in the world willbe left
out without the Gospel.
So, everychurchand everyChristianmust evaluate their roleinreaching
out to those who have not yet been reached and in delivering the Gospel. Every
Christianis a missionaryand his next door is his verymissionfield, to where he
could bringChristâs concernand lovethroughhis exemplarylifeand actions. The
churchesshouldcrosstheirboundariesandproclaiminthewordsofJohnWesley,
âThe world is myparish.â Then, inno time, the Gospelshallreach everynook
and corner ofthe world.
It is our endeavour through the âWisdom for the Heartâ Magazine to
givea welcomefillup to thechurches and Christians engaged intheirSowingthe
Seed and ChurchPlanting Ministryenabling themto reachout to the world. âHe
who goesout weeping, bearingtheseedforsowing, shallcomehomewithshouts
ofjoy, bringing his sheaves withhimâ (Psalms 126:6).
Maythe Lordâsrichest blessing beuponyou and your dearfamilyas you
serveHimdiligently!

Two thousand yearsago Jesus Christ said, âGo ye into alltheworld and make
disciples inallNationsâ. We havethus beenmaking disciples, but we have not gone far
enoughandmadedisciplesinallnations.Why?BecauseoftheconcentrationofPersonnel
and Financialresources in alreadyreached areas with disastrous consequences. The
emphasis ofthemission was shifted to the past century. Most Missionaries are sent to
maintainalreadyestablished works rather thanpioneering work. The imperativeis not
merely to go, but to go and make disciples. The primary goal should be to find new
ways ofreaching out to people inallNations, the young and old alike.
First
At the outset, each body of believers, here and abroad, must take on the
responsibilityofreaching out to its ownpeople: be it a town, village or a territoryand
evenacommunity.Wemust say,âHereiswhereGodhascalledustogatherhisHarvestâ.
Secondly
The Churches that were started by pioneer missionaries must now become
âSending Churchesâ. Thisis the willofGod. Each fellowship ofsaintsmust assume the
overallresponsibilityto evangelise people beyondits culturalboundaries.
Thirdly
TheYounger Churches must measure the ministrynot in terms of how many
people theyâSeatâ but how manypeople they have sent as missionaries. It is not the
massiveness oftheChurchbuilding that givescredit to its congregationbut the number
ofmissionariesthat it sends out to the un-evangelised areas and setsupworship places.
Finally
The Churches must pursue flexible methods of Evangelismthat are suited to
cultures in which they work. Let us stop complaining that we do not have enough
workers, moneyand materialresources. Ofcourse, it is true ofsmaller churches. The
homes ofmembers ofsuch churches must become âoutpostsâ oftheir churches and
extend theactivities ofthe churchesto their neighbourhood.
The goalisto launcha âPeopleâsMovementâ withthe visionto take the saving
message of Jesus Christ to unreached places. When we focus on âEach One Teach
Oneâwe canreach the nations one byone. We must come out fromasense ofgloomy
defeatismin the face ofopposition and failures, since, theHolySpirit is withus inthis
MissionaryJourney.
Beloved, please prayfor us and feelthe responsibilityofsowing the seed and
winningothersfor HisKingdom.
