Winson Tang has a diverse educational
background. He graduated from Tufts
University Magna Cum Laude, earning a
combined Bachelor of Science and a Masters
Degree in Organic Chemistry. Following his
studies at Tufts University he attended the
Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where
he obtained his Doctor of Medicine,
completing his residency in Internal
Medicine at the University of Southern
California. He is currently conducting post-
doctoral research at the Scripps Research

Winson Tang has extended professional experience in a wide variety of roles and functions.
At Sangamo Bioscience, Inc., he was responsible for all clinical development programs. At
Amsterdam Molecular Therapeutics, BV, he oversaw the design and conduct of various
drug trials, including a Phase 2/3 Glybera orphan drug registrations process. He developed
the product profile for the drug, among other tasks and activities.

Career at Pacific Capital Group
Between 2004 and 2008, Winson Tang enjoyed a successful stint with a Beverly Hills-based
private equity group called Pacific Capital Group. While working for the company, he was
responsible for selecting and managing various BioCapital and Life Science investments.
The healthcare portfolio that he managed involved seven different companies and achieved
an annual return of investment in excess of 90%. After the 2008 financial crisis, Dr. Tang
continued his career with Xcorporeal Inc., a medical device company.
