This document features knockout solutions developed by Mate Precision Tooling for customers and is intended to inspire additional designs that can be created using a punch press.
This document discusses different tools that fabricators can use to separate multiple parts from a sheet of material after punching. It presents several solutions developed by Mate Precision Tooling Inc. that simplify removing parts from a sheet and minimize burrs and rough edges. These include the EasySnap and Square EasySnap tools for thinner materials, the Square ShearButton tool for thicker materials, a part chute tool to drop small parts, and the Versadie lower and upper slitting systems for punching close to clamps and forms. The goal is to inspire fabricators to do more with their punch presses by building in ways to easily separate punched parts.
FLAT is a levelling and stabilizing technology developed by an Australian company. It uses a system of interconnected actuators that communicate via tubes to instantly adjust tables and keep them level on uneven surfaces. It has won several awards and been tested independently. Case studies show it saves time and money for restaurants by keeping tables stable without needing adjustment. The technology is planned to be used in other products beyond hospitality table bases.

Solving Assembly Challenges in Reduced Footprint ApplicationsDesign World
Smaller, lighter, and thinner electronic devices and their inherently restrictive design envelopes present several challenges on the road to their assembly and manufacture. Hardware for component attachment must perform reliably, despite the shrinking and limited footprints for fastener placement and installation. In addition, designers face reduced parts counts for weight savings and production economies.
An entirely new generation of micro-fasteners has been introduced to help resolve these challenges when size and space matter. ??
This presentation will expand on the hardware demands and profile several advanced micro-fastener technologies gaining traction as suitable attachment solutions in the marketplace. It will include an evolving line of self-clinching and flaring micro fasteners serving today – and tomorrow — as practical and cost-effective alternatives to conventional loose hardware, welding, and adhesives. Specific applications and capabilities will be highlighted, based on existing end-product designs and anticipated packaging requirements down the road. The presentation will underscore how micro fasteners ultimately can help (and not hinder) key design and function objectives. By attending this special, free 1-hour webinar you will gain a better understanding of the new alternatives you now have available for your reduced footprint designs.
What are mold clamps -dgmf mold clamps co., ltdJasmineHL

The document provides specifications for making an aluminum bearing bracket. It specifies using a 26mm McMaster-Carr bearing for a 10mm shaft, with the bearing held by a light press fit. The bracket bottom should be flat within 0.1mm variation and center the bearing 75mm from the bottom within 0.1mm. The bracket should be 50mm wide, 20mm thick and have a rounded top. It specifies using two M10x1.5 screws 20mm long, placing the screw holes 25mm deep and 12.5mm from the centerline within 0.1mm.
The document describes the design and prototyping of a heavy lift octocopter. An octocopter uses 8 propellers arranged in 4 pairs of coaxial propellers to maximize lift. The design was optimized for an ASME student design competition rewarding payloads lifted. A coaxial design doubles lift compared to single propellers. The frame and protective shroud were manually constructed and components were chosen according to the custom design, with no preassembled kits used. The goal was to design for maximum lift within size requirements to earn the most points by lifting the heaviest payload.

FDM soluble cores provide advantages for manufacturing hollow composite parts over traditional methods like clamshell tooling. Soluble cores made through FDM can be designed with complex geometries and are easily removed with a detergent solution, avoiding damage to the composite part. This allows composite materials to be laid up directly on the core, creating seamless, wrinkle-free parts with control over internal features and surfaces. Champions Motorsports used FDM soluble cores to manufacture a turbo inlet duct for Porsches, improving part quality over bonded designs.

Webinar Recording: https://www.panagenda.com/webinars/hcl-notes-and-domino-license-cost-reduction-in-the-world-of-dlau/
The introduction of DLAU and the CCB & CCX licensing model caused quite a stir in the HCL community. As a Notes and Domino customer, you may have faced challenges with unexpected user counts and license costs. You probably have questions on how this new licensing approach works and how to benefit from it. Most importantly, you likely have budget constraints and want to save money where possible. Don’t worry, we can help with all of this!
We’ll show you how to fix common misconfigurations that cause higher-than-expected user counts, and how to identify accounts which you can deactivate to save money. There are also frequent patterns that can cause unnecessary cost, like using a person document instead of a mail-in for shared mailboxes. We’ll provide examples and solutions for those as well. And naturally we’ll explain the new licensing model.
Join HCL Ambassador Marc Thomas in this webinar with a special guest appearance from Franz Walder. It will give you the tools and know-how to stay on top of what is going on with Domino licensing. You will be able lower your cost through an optimized configuration and keep it low going forward.
These topics will be covered
- Reducing license cost by finding and fixing misconfigurations and superfluous accounts
- How do CCB and CCX licenses really work?
- Understanding the DLAU tool and how to best utilize it
- Tips for common problem areas, like team mailboxes, functional/test users, etc
- Practical examples and best practices to implement right away
CAKE: Sharing Slices of Confidential Data on BlockchainClaudio Di Ciccio
Presented at the CAiSE 2024 Forum, Intelligent Information Systems, June 6th, Limassol, Cyprus.
Synopsis: Cooperative information systems typically involve various entities in a collaborative process within a distributed environment. Blockchain technology offers a mechanism for automating such processes, even when only partial trust exists among participants. The data stored on the blockchain is replicated across all nodes in the network, ensuring accessibility to all participants. While this aspect facilitates traceability, integrity, and persistence, it poses challenges for adopting public blockchains in enterprise settings due to confidentiality issues. In this paper, we present a software tool named Control Access via Key Encryption (CAKE), designed to ensure data confidentiality in scenarios involving public blockchains. After outlining its core components and functionalities, we showcase the application of CAKE in the context of a real-world cyber-security project within the logistics domain.

Removing Uninteresting Bytes in Software FuzzingAftab Hussain
Imagine a world where software fuzzing, the process of mutating bytes in test seeds to uncover hidden and erroneous program behaviors, becomes faster and more effective. A lot depends on the initial seeds, which can significantly dictate the trajectory of a fuzzing campaign, particularly in terms of how long it takes to uncover interesting behaviour in your code. We introduce DIAR, a technique designed to speedup fuzzing campaigns by pinpointing and eliminating those uninteresting bytes in the seeds. Picture this: instead of wasting valuable resources on meaningless mutations in large, bloated seeds, DIAR removes the unnecessary bytes, streamlining the entire process.
In this work, we equipped AFL, a popular fuzzer, with DIAR and examined two critical Linux libraries -- Libxml's xmllint, a tool for parsing xml documents, and Binutil's readelf, an essential debugging and security analysis command-line tool used to display detailed information about ELF (Executable and Linkable Format). Our preliminary results show that AFL+DIAR does not only discover new paths more quickly but also achieves higher coverage overall. This work thus showcases how starting with lean and optimized seeds can lead to faster, more comprehensive fuzzing campaigns -- and DIAR helps you find such seeds.

Why Should You Choose CAMEL DIE LIMITED?
1. Stable, Like a CAMEL
CAMEL is a professional mold maker for die casting dies. Our design team has rich experience that helps customers proactively
solve potential issues to ensure stable production and more convenient mold maintenance.
Existing customer mold structure:
1) There is a gap between the bottom of the core block and ejection plate (no support behind the cover plate), and there are a total of 12
core pins. The cover plate thickness is only 6.35mm and fixed by four UNC1/4 flat screws (small screws). Therefore, we are concerned
that the cover plate may deform, and the screw might break.
2) If the operator needs to replace the core pins, they must disassemble the whole fixed side, making mold maintenance more difficult.
CAMEL’s suggestion:
Option 1#: Fix these 12 core pins by two grub screws. The core pins can be fixed well, and the mold can be maintained more easily. This
mold structure is very commonly used for our other US/UK customers with no complaints.
Option 2#: Move the existing cover plate to the top of the A plate. The cover plate can be supported by the pattern plate of the machine, and
ensure convenient mold maintenance.
