The Impact of Early Muslim Thoughts on the Renaissance Movement in the WestMohd Abbas Abdul Razak
This presentation intends to explain that there was a time in the history of the Muslims known as the ‘Golden Age of Islam’. During that period of time (750-1258), Muslims built their great civilization by merging science and spirituality. They were prepared to learn all that are positive and non-contradictory to their Muslim faith from others; particularly from the Greeks, Persians and Indians. At the peak of their civilization, Europeans came to learn at the Islamic centers for leaning and scientific investigation. In modern times, the West not only failed to acknowledge the contribution of the early Muslim scholars to the Renaissance movement, but also its obsession and passion for science took the masses away from God and spirituality. Looking into the present condition of the world, this presentation calls for an ideal situation that can solve violence, backwardness and moral decadence. It calls upon the West and the Muslim world to share with one another what they have. The West needs spirituality and the Muslim world needs science and technology. It is believed that through such an exchange and sharing between the two, a better world free of violence, hatred and moral decadence can be created.

‘London has become a major financial capital of the Muslim world.’ That statement may sound alarming at first, given that the United Kingdom is rightly a Christian country with an established Church.
Yet, it is thanks to this, and her evolution as a parliamentary democracy that has led to many British Muslims making this country their home, contributing to the UK economy and helping Britain become ever more prosperous.
Britain has had a long history with the Muslim world. Not just through the days of colonialism, but also as equal partners in trade.

Comparison of the stunning and non stunning slaughtering methods in the light...MEHMETYARDIMCI
Islam sets up strict dietary rules and prescribes its followers will what and how to drink and eat under the term “halal”. Living halal and avoiding haram are the main frames for a Muslim life. Since halal meat is obtained from halal slaughter, it is a prerequisite that the animal must be alive at the time of the slaughter and death must be realized with a sharp knife cut. Otherwise, it could be suggested to kill or strangle the animal in the quickest way before the cut, because it is an indisputable fact that dead animals do not feel any pain. Regarding stunned animals, when electrical energy travels through the body, it may result in muscle cramp, paralysis in body, respiratory muscles and vocal cords, which induces pain and stress for the paralyzed animal. This might be observed as if the animal is not suffering when actually it is. However, the immediate cutting of the vessels of the neck without pre-stunning causes cerebral ischemia with depriving the brain from oxygen and glucose and it acts as a painkiller that disables the sensory centre and causes the animal to become entirely insensitive to pain. This paper attempts to assess the perception of pain during stunning and non-stunning slaughtering methods and give an objective perspective for halal slaughter in animals.
If the overall STP plant can have a constant water flow from the wastewater treatment process and the electrical generator can work well in the application, the electrical power generation is possible to feedback to the STP electrical board panel for pumping and STP auxiliary application.
Hence it will have a self-ecosystem in both water treatment and electrical generation and therefore provides alternative energy for the treatment plant to operate using its own flowing water from the wastewater treatment process.

The Book of Joshua is the sixth book in the Hebrew Bible and the Old Testament, and is the first book of the Deuteronomistic history, the story of Israel from the conquest of Canaan to the Babylonian exile.
In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.

1. Concept of Halal & Haram in Islam? Bob asked Yunus a few questions regarding the Halal and Haram on the way back from School. Lets see what brother Yunus had to say, Insha Allah.
2. Concept of Halal & Haram in Islam? Yunus: That which is permissible is termed Halaal and that which is not permissible is termed Haraam and it is the Quran and the traditions of the Prophet Mohammed (Peace be upon Him) which draws the distinction between the two. Bob: Tell me why is it that a Muslim is very particular about the words Halaal and Haraam; what do they mean?
3. Concept of Halal & Haram in Islam? Yunus: Yes, Islam has prohibited blood of any type. You will agree that chemical analysis of blood shows that it contains an abundance of uric acid, a chemical substance which can be injurious to human health. Bob: Can you give me an example?
4. Concept of Halal & Haram in Islam? Yunus: Now I think that you'll appreciate the special prescribed method of animal slaughter in Islam. Bob: You're right about the toxic nature of uric acid, in the human being it is excreted as a waste product and in fact we are told that 98% ofthe body's uric acid is extracted from the blood by the kidneys and removed through urination.
5. Concept of Halal & Haram in Islam? Yunus: You see, the object used to slaughter the animal, should be sharp and used swiftly. The swift cutting of vessels of the neck disconnects the flow of blood to the nerves in the brain responsible for pain. Thus the animal does not feel pain. The movements and withering that happen to the animal after the cut is made are not due to pain, but due to the contraction and relaxation of the muscles deficient in blood. Infact the pain issue has been studied by a German Research that Studies Pain! Bob: What do you mean Yonus?
6. Concept of Halal & Haram in Islam? Yunus: There are studies carried out by Professor Wilhelm Schulze and his colleague Dr. Hazim at the School of Veterinary Medicine, Hannover University in Germany. Bob: Please tell me more...
7. Concept of Halal & Haram in Islam? The study: Attempts to Objectify Pain and Consciousness in Conventional (captive bolt pistol stunning) and Ritual (halal, knife) Methods of Slaughtering Sheep and Calves concludes that Islamic slaughtering is the most humane method of slaughter and that captive bolt stunning, practiced in the West, causes severe pain to the animal.
8. Concept of Halal & Haram in Islam? Yunus: 1. The first three seconds from the time of Islamic slaughter as recorded on the EEG did not show any change from the graph before slaughter, thus indicating that the animal did not feel any pain during or immediately after the incision. 2. For the following 3 seconds, the EEG recorded a condition of deep sleep - unconsciousness. This is due to the large quantity of blood gushing out from the body. 3. After the above-mentioned 6 seconds, the EEG recorded zero level, showing no feeling of pain at all. 4. As the brain message (EEG) dropped to zero level, the heart was still pounding and the body convulsing vigorously (a reflex action of the spinal cord) driving a maximum amount of blood from the body thus resulting in hygienic meat for the consumer. Bob: But how did they come to that result?
9. Concept of Halal & Haram in Islam? Yunus: I have forgotten to say that the incision through the jugular veins, leaves all other veins and organs intact. Bob: That is amazing…
10. Concept of Halal & Haram in Islam? Yunus: Yes, were the organs, example the heart, the liver, or the brain crippled or damaged, the animal could die immediately and its blood would congeal in its veins and would eventually permeate the flesh. This implies that the animal flesh would be permeated and contaminated with uric acid and therefore very poisonous; only today did our dietitians realize such a thing. Bob: I see, this causes the death of the animal by a total loss of blood from the body, rather than an injury to any vital organ.
11. Concept of Halal & Haram in Islam? Yunus: Actually, apart from the Quran prohibiting the consumption of pork bacon (pig flesh); in fact the Bible too in Leviticus chapter 11,verse 8, regarding swine it says, 'of their flesh (of the swine another name for pig) shall you not eat, and of their carcass you shall not touch; they are ' unclean to you.' Bob: Why do Muslims condemn the eating of pork or ham or any foods related to pigs or swine? 'Nonetheless, all that aside, I am sure you are well informed about the harmful effects of the consumption of pork, in any form, be it pork chops, ham, bacon.
12. Concept of Halal & Haram in Islam? The medical science finds that there is a risk for various diseases as the pig is found to be a host for many parasites and potential diseases in addition Pork meat also contains high levels of cholesterol and lipids. It has been scientifically proven that these significant amounts of antibodies, hormones, cholesterol and lipids in pork represent a serious threat to human health.
13. Concept of Halal & Haram in Islam? Even apart from that, as we talked about uric acid content in the blood, it is important to note that the pig's biochemistry excretes only 2% of its total uric acid content, the remaining 98% remains as an integral part of the body. Note: Islam forbids not only pork but meat of all those animals who eat their own or some one else's body waste ; the most commonly known animal in this category is pig or swine whose meat is commonly known as pork.
