Compilation Of Philippine literature during Pre-Spanish and Spanish ColonizationJ. Svlle
During the pre-Spanish period, the Philippines had its own indigenous literature as seen in folktales, legends, folk songs, epics, and other oral traditions that showed Filipino customs and culture. Our ancestors also had their own writing system before the Spanish introduced the Roman alphabet. When the Spanish colonized the Philippines in the 16th century, they sought to convert the natives to Christianity and imposed Spanish language and culture. Spanish missionaries collected and translated ancient Filipino works. Religious themes then dominated literature, and Spanish influences included use of the Roman alphabet, Christian doctrines, and Spanish words. Some of the earliest printed books in the Philippines were Christian texts and translations of biblical stories.
Rizal departed secretly from the Philippines in 1882 to study medicine in Europe. While in Spain, he had hidden purposes of making a name for himself as a writer, observing European society, and preparing to liberate the Filipinos from Spanish tyranny. After staying briefly in Barcelona, he moved to Madrid to continue his studies. There he associated with other Filipino expatriates and began writing nationalist articles under a pen name. He also fell in love with a woman named Consuelo but did not pursue the relationship. Rizal delivered a speech in 1884 praising the achievements of Filipino artists Juan Luna and Felix Hidalgo that drew criticism from his mother back home.

This document discusses prenatal development from conception through birth. It covers topics like the stages of prenatal development (germinal period, embryonic period, fetal period), what happens in each period like organ formation, common tests during pregnancy, risks from teratogens, and complications like low birth weight. The document emphasizes that the prenatal period involves the most dramatic transformation as the embryo and fetus develop all body parts and organ systems before birth.
Here are the key points for the assignment questions:
1. How does pregnancy start?
Pregnancy starts with ovulation, which is when a mature egg is released from one of the ovaries and travels to the fallopian tubes. If the egg is fertilized by sperm, it may implant itself in the lining of the uterus. For pregnancy to occur, three processes must happen in sequence: ovulation, fertilization, and implantation.
2. Discuss the menstrual cycle.
The menstrual cycle is the monthly cycle of changes women's bodies go through to prepare for a potential pregnancy. It occurs in three phases:
- Menstrual phase (days 1-5): The uterus sheds its lining through menstruation.

Fertilization is the process by which an egg and sperm unite. The male sperm cell contains enzymes and a tail that allow it to swim through the female reproductive tract to reach and penetrate the egg cell. If fertilization is successful, the fertilized egg will divide through mitosis and implant in the uterus, developing into an embryo and later a fetus that receives nutrients from the mother's blood via the placenta until birth.

It emphasizes applying anatomy and physiology to assess each woman's individual situation based on factors like baby positioning and dilation. Recognizing the full spectrum of labour from latent to active phases and using non-medical approaches can result in higher rates of normal birth.
The document summarizes the selection of four individuals - a male doctor, female scientist, pregnant woman, and her daughter - to live in an underground bunker during a global crisis. Each person was chosen for specific survival roles: the doctor would deliver babies and lead; the scientist would maintain plant life and address technical issues; the pregnant woman would give birth and breastfeed; and her daughter would later help repopulate. Their goals were to establish distinct generations that could repopulate the Earth after emerging from the bunker.
If your little one is underweight or not growing as fast as they should be, it might not be a good time to wean out night feedings, so again, chat with your doctor.

Case Analysis: The Battle for Value, 2004: FedEx Crop vs United Parcel Servic...Afifah Nabilah
FedEx and UPS saw their stock prices rise in early 2004 due to a landmark air transportation agreement between the US and China that opened new cargo routes. FedEx outperformed UPS, with its stock price rising almost 5 times faster, due to FedEx having a larger existing foreign presence and operations in China. While UPS focused on maintaining its status as the industry's low-cost provider and invested heavily in technology and facilities, FedEx successfully entered the overnight delivery market through Smith's strategy of large capital investments and a hub-and-spoke distribution system. An analysis of financial metrics from 1992-2003 showed UPS generally outperformed FedEx in measures of activity, liquidity, solvency, profitability, and growth.

Why Men Can't Get Pregnant
1. WHY MEN CAN’T GET PREGNANT?
By Afifah Nabilah Mohamad Safei (1321976)
INTRODUCTION
Meaning of Pregnant:
o Containing a developing embryo, fetus, or unborn offspring within the body.
o Carrying developing offspring within the body.
o It is a state where a women (normally) is carrying a or twin babies for 9
months before deliver, before the babies born into life.
The topics today will discuss on Why Men Can’t Get Pregnant based on scientific
research and also based on logical thinking.
CONTENTS
1) Men do not have a uterus, vagina, fallopian tube and all of those body parts that
women have.
Obviously, men cant get pregnant because they do not have those body parts.
How can they get pregnant when they don’t even have the fallopian tube to
release the ovum? Nonsence isn’t?
It is true that human eggs can be fertilized in a petri dish and then can be
placed back into the uterus for further development.
And even, based on a research made centuries ago, the scientist found out
that a fetus can be developed in an environment other than uterus; the
abdominal pregnancy.
Therefore, you must be thinking that there might be a chance for men to get
pregnant using this method. But the answer is no. Eventhough abdominal
pregnancy is possible, but it is a life-treatening condition. So, for the time
being, it is still impossible for a men to get pregnant through abdominal
pregnancy.
2) Men are not used to weaknesses (ie: Morning Sickness)
When we talk about a man, we always thought that men are strong. We cant
imagine a man with six pack are crying over a cup of maggi early in the
2. morning, or getting nausea all day, fatigue and always go to the toilet to
vomit. Its just like, not the nature of the man as a protector.
They can’t tolerate all of those feelings. Seriously.
3) Men in a labor room, can he actually endure the pain?
As you know, delivering a baby is the most painful thing in life that even a
man can’t even endure it.
There is a video on youtube shows three guys tried a birth simulator to feel
what a mom goes through during the childbirth and it turns out that they
couldn’t endure the pain and gave up in the middle of it.
By the way, can you even imagine a guy in a labor room, giving birth to a child
and you’re waiting outside of the labor room. And then, suddenly, the guy is
screaming like a woman does. Scary isn’t?
4) Men can’t handle to wake up in the middle of the night to feed the baby.
If some of them are even hardly wake up for tahajud prayer, what can we
expect more?
Besides, based on the stories that i read and heard, in most cases, the mom
will get up to feed the baby at night while the daddy will continue sleeping
heavenly without even being bother by the cry of the baby.
CONCLUSION
Cherish your mother and the mother of your baby. They have been through a lot of
pain, a lot of hard time just to give birth to you and your babies.
If they nag to you, just be patient and endure all of those nags. That’s just their
nature a woman to keep nagging to someone they care the most. (if they don’t nag,
there must be something wrong. Believe me.)
