Prometheus
VICTOR FRANKENSTEIN
• THE CREATOR
MONSTER
• THE CREATION
SOCIETY
Victor Frankenstein , an ambitious
young scientist who wanted to create
a super human without any
precautions. He created the Monster
but after the failure of the experiment
instead of destroying or fixing the
mess he choose to run from his
“failure “ which becomes the cause of
his doom as well as Monsters
suffering and continues rejection by
all the people.
Victor ; “The
Creator”
Monster , the work of Frankensteins’s hands,
the creature or monster , the victim or we
can say the failure of Victor’s obsession.
Victor built his body out of dead body parts ,
the monster learned by him self how to
think, read and speak from old literary texts
such as Paradise Lost, Plutarch’s Lives and
Sorrows of Werter and also from observing
Felix who used to teach his lover Safie French
. Though he was naïve and has childlike
innocence because of his deformed look he
was beaten up and rejected by his master as
well as society also. And this happened only
because of Victor’s over ambition to create a
super human.
Monster : The Creation
In Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein,
society continually regards
Victor’s creation as a monster ,
both physically and
psychologically . Though the
being has the physical
characteristics of a monster , it is
only after he is repeatedly rejected
by society that he finally adopts
the personality and behavior of a
monster .society played a large
role in shaping the Monster’s
behavior , because society expects
him to act like a monster , he
inevitability becomes one.
