What\'s the Schema ? Table ? Column ? Row ? Attribute ? Entity ? Primary Key ? Foreign Key ? Solution Schema is a subdatabase(database is divided into various subdatabases) which contains database objects .The database objects are tables, views etc Table:A table consists of various rows and columns.Data is arranged in rows and columns. Column:column in the database contains data which are of same type. Row :table contains various rows and columns. The rows in table is called as tuples . Attribute :The database table contains various attributes. It represents database fields Entity:Entity is a single object .We are going to staore the date regarding that object which is called as entity Primary key: Primary key is a unique value in the table by using which we can uniquely idenfy the rows or records in the table. Primary key is NOT NULL+UNIQUE It is constraint which maintains the data integrity of the table in the database. That means if we specified a column with primary key constraint. Then in that column we must have to provide the value(Not to leave empty) and also that value must be unique. If we want to uniquely identify particular records in the table we have to use these primary keys.Primary keys must not be NULL and should be UNIQUE. Ex:Suppose we are storing the employee information in the employee table. The employee table has fields like : employeeId,employeeName,Salary Here No two employees have same employeeID\'s .It will be unique. If we want to get the information of the particular employee we can use his employeeID inorder to uniquely identify. The value with which we can uniquely identify the records in a table is called PrimaryKey.here We can say employeeId is a primary key. Foreign Key: A foreign key is a primary of one table but it appears like a field in another table. Here both the two tables are in relation with each other . Suppose there is a student table which contains studentId as primary key. There is a course table which contains courseID as primary key. There is a studentCourse table which contains studentId and courseId as fields. But studentId is the primary of student table and courseId is primary key of course table. But those two primary keys are acting as fields as in studentCouse table. here Field (studentID) of studentCouse table is linked with studentId field of Student table and field (courseId) of studentCouse table is linked with courseId field of course table So we may call studentId,courseId are foreign keys of studentscourse table. Foreign keys - Contain one or more columns whose values match a primary or alternate key in some other table..
