What is a Pronoun?
A pronoun is a word that can be used to replace a noun/noun phrase in a
sentence in order to avoid the repetition of the same noun/noun phrase.
What is a Case?
Case refers to using a pronoun as the subject or object of a sentence or
to show possession.
A pronoun must agree with the noun/noun phrase it represents in number
(singular/plural), gender (masculine/feminine/neuter), person
(first/second/third), and case.
There are three cases of pronouns in English: subjective, objective and
possessive.
Case of Pronouns
Pronouns have different forms depending on the case they bear.
a. Subjective Form: This is also known as the nominative form. It
indicates the subject of the verb.
b. Objective Form: This indicates the object of the verb.
c. Possessive Form: This indicates the owner of something.
