What I’ve Learned by completing the Multiple Pathways to Learning
And the Personality Spectrum
Based on the theory of Multiple Intelligences by Howard Gardner, I have
learned that it is very important to know how you learn. To help you become the
person that you want to be. I learned that I really have the ability to relate to
others. The exercise showed me that. My intrapersonal ability revealed to me
that I do like being alone. It gave me confirmation of my own observation.
I have always known I can understand through verbal communication. My
interpersonal abilities are very strong. I relate to others very well. I am a team
player. I am a conversationalist. My bodily ability is just what I found out. I am
moderately developed. I can learn through my hands.
On the MBTI test, it showed that I am a responsible, reliable person. I
learned that I follow-through on tasks. I am a very organized person. It helped
explained why I have the abilities I do have. I am very spiritual.
The Naturalistic and logical were the lowest. This explained to me that I
really need work on this. Because I really do not understand areas where there
are elements of the natural environment. The logical is solving problems, math,
2. and science. They are struggles for me. The logical ability is the one I really need
to work on. It will help me when I take math courses.
Overall, by taking the Howard Gardner intelligence and the Myers-Brigg
Type Indicator (MBTI) tests, I learned my weaknesses and strengths.
When I improve on the areas that were undeveloped, I can learn in all areas. The
tests results really showed me very interesting abilities that I do have, and the
ones I need to improve on. It was an eye opener for me. I learned that I can
learn, and that I will learn.
