Computer Aided Design or CAD for short, is the prises of designing object on computer before manufacturing or building
what type of people use CAD Architects & architectural Technicians   Fashion Design Engineers Interior Designers Map Making and Cartography
Design:- The object you are trying to create   CAD:– Translating it into the computer and        planning what you want to build   Controlling:- Directing the computers functions     Manufacturing:-Building the object in the real world.
  3D- CAD Surface and Solid Modelling What are the deferent types of CAD? 2D – 2 Dimensional with X & Y coordinates,  2D- CAD A vector based drafting, good for simple constructions 3D – 3 Dimensional with X,Y, & Z coordinates,   The U.C.S. Universal Coordinate system

What are the benefits of crating a model? You can see if all the parts fit correctly  You can tack as many a section views as you like
An example of a section through on a Model
A section through is like an inpretion of an object as if you have past a thin pain of glass through it and  got an inprint of the area.
Another Useful feature of using model is creating an  exploded view  as seen above, that an  Engineer  would use for example in a manual.
