By Putting on Messiah’s Armor we are putting on

25. Our Role is Defensive

Our duty is not to attack Satan, or to defeat him,
but rather to withstand his attacks.
We are not told to bind him, or “kick him out of
town”. We are told to wear the armor so we
can stand against him, withstand his evil, to
stand firm.

26. Don’t get arrogant!
Jude 8–10 8 Yet in like manner these people also,
relying on their dreams, defile the flesh, reject
authority, and blaspheme the glorious ones. 9 But
when the archangel Michael, contending with the
devil, was disputing about the body of Moses, he
did not presume to pronounce a blasphemous
judgment, but said, “The Lord rebuke you.” 10 But
these people blaspheme all that they do not
understand, and they are destroyed by all that they,
like unreasoning animals, understand instinctively.

27. The War.
• The war is not being waged to see which side
will win.
• God has already won the war by the death of
His Son on the cross of Calvary.
• The war is for our good, and for God’s glory.
• The war is a part of God’s instruction to the
angelic hosts.
• The war is a part of God’s eternal plan and
purpose for his creation.

The great question is not, “Who will win?,”
The question is “Who will stand?”
The question is not whether God is on our side
as much as whether or not we are on His side.
Don’t become overwhelmed by the size of the
opposition.
Our Lord is much bigger than theirs.
