Paul tells the Ephesian Christians to girt their loans in truth. One's loins is the center of one being. It is the place stability. In a world which runs on the current of popular opinion it's often difficult to discern truth. Is is found in science, or philosophy, or politicians or power. Real truth is found in Jesus Christ who proclaimed, "I am the way, the truth and the life, no man comes to the Father accept through me." This is the truth that Paul encourages the Ephesians gird their loins with. It's the same truth we ought to hold tight to our core. 24. Enemy stands in the lie
• John 8:44–46 44 You are of your father the
devil, and your will is to do your father’s
desires. He was a murderer from the
beginning, and does not stand in the truth,
because there is no truth in him. When he lies,
he speaks out of his own character, for he is a
liar and the father of lies. 45 But because I tell
the truth, you do not believe me. 46 Which one
of you convicts me of sin? If I tell the truth,
why do you not believe me?
