The proposed system provides a good solution to this problem. The whole control room environment is additionally implemented in the arm-android platform and the same is communicated to the process through Bluetooth. Now the user in control can use mobile at anytime, anywhere to monitor and control the whole plant.8051 is used here for acquiring process control parameters from the sensors like temperature, gas etc and transmitting it via a Bluetooth module to an android device. Hence the parameter values can be monitored and stored simultaneously.

Siti Mardiah completed a 3-month internship from April to July 2015 as an assistant engineer in the process department of Lafarge Pasir Gudang Plant. During her internship, she gained exposure to technical processes like mill and weigh out inspections. She also worked on projects to optimize the plant's shutdown sequence, reduce idling equipment in the silos, and analyze grinding aid and gypsum trials. In addition, she learned non-technical skills like developing professional relationships and improving her attention to detail. Overall, the internship helped her apply her knowledge practically and identify strengths and weaknesses to develop further.

The development of dry low NOx (DLN) combustors for gas turbines has cut the industry's consumption of water, while dramatically slashing air emissions. Unfortunately, this environmental enhancement has created an engineering challenge: The lean-burning DLN combustors are prone to flame instability, which can cause pressure pulsations large enough to destroy the combustor, launching debris downstream where it annihilates other hot-gas-path components. To detect and correct flame instability before it causes millions of dollars of turbine damage, savvy users have begun to install advanced sensors and robust software that monitor the combustor dynamics in real time.
High dynamics can limit hardware life and/or system operability. Thus, there have been various attempts to control combustion dynamics, to prevent degradation of system performance. There are two basic methods for controlling combustion dynamics in an industrial gas turbine combustion system: passive control and active control. As the name suggests, passive control refers to a system that incorporates certain design features and characteristics to reduce dynamic pressure oscillations. Active control, on the other hand, incorporates a sensor to detect, e.g., pressure fluctuations and to provide a feedback signal.
Which, When suitably processed by a controller, provides an input signal to a control device. The control device in turn operates to reduce the dynamic pressure oscillations. The workshop will examine the factors and the issues associated with combustor dynamics, and technologies like AMFM/CFM.

This document proposes a new one-step method for tuning PI/PID controllers based on closed-loop experiments. It derives simple correlations between data from a proportional-only closed-loop step response experiment and PI/PID settings that provide good performance and robustness. Specifically:
1) A proportional-only controller is used to generate a step response with 10-60% overshoot. The gain, overshoot, peak time, and steady-state change are recorded.
2) Simulations show the proposed controller gain is proportional to the proportional gain used in the experiment, with the ratio dependent only on overshoot. Simple equations are derived relating overshoot and peak time to the PI/PID settings.

The aims of the O&M of Gas Turbines Workshop is to share the experiences of our internationally renowned expert with an aim to prevent such incidents and also to examine the factors and opportunities to increase plant safety, environmental performance. And improve uptime and availability all factors contributing to higher profitability.
The workshop will also examine scheduled maintenance and turnarounds which are opportunities to increase plant safety and environmental performance. By enhancing the mechanical integrity of HPI facilities, operating companies can achieve and maintain higher uptime and equipment availability; all are factors that contribute to higher profitability. Best-of-class companies hold the mindset that reliability programs provide great benefits. Investing in new monitoring and conditioning systems, along with preventive maintenance and inspection programs, can optimize unit and total facility performance.
The development of dry low NOx (DLN) combustors for gas turbines has cut the industry's consumption of water, while dramatically slashing air emissions. Unfortunately, this environmental enhancement has created an engineering challenge: The lean-burning DLN combustors are prone to flame instability, which can cause pressure pulsations large enough to destroy the combustor, launching debris downstream where it annihilates other hot-gas-path components. To detect and correct flame instability before it causes millions of dollars of turbine damage, savvy users have begun to install advanced sensors and robust software that monitor the combustor dynamics in real time.
High dynamics can limit hardware life and/or system operability. Thus, there have been various attempts to control combustion dynamics, to prevent degradation of system performance. There are two basic methods for controlling combustion dynamics in an industrial gas turbine combustion system: passive control and active control. As the name suggests, passive control refers to a system that incorporates certain design features and characteristics to reduce dynamic pressure oscillations. Active control, on the other hand, incorporates a sensor to detect, e.g., pressure fluctuations and to provide a feedback signal.
Which, When suitably processed by a controller, provides an input signal to a control device. The control device in turn operates to reduce the dynamic pressure oscillations. The workshop will examine the factors and the issues associated with combustor dynamics, and technologies like AMFM/CFM.

The mechanical ventilation system in Subang Parade Mall utilizes supply, exhaust, and balanced ventilation systems to maintain indoor air quality. The supply system pressurizes stairwells to prevent smoke movement during fires. Exhaust systems include smoke spill fans in the atrium, kitchen exhaust ducts, and toilet exhaust fans. Balanced ventilation supplies and returns air to general areas and shops. Pressurized stairwells, smoke spill fans, and kitchen exhaust ducts directly discharge to the roof or outside. Toilet exhaust and some shop fans vent to the centralized duct system. The varied systems aim to effectively ventilate different spaces and enhance fire safety according to building code requirements.
DESIGN AND FABRICATION OF SERIAL MANIPULATOR WITH HYBRID CONTROL THEORY
A serial manipulator consists of a fixed base, a series of links connected by joints, and ending at a free end carrying the tool or the end-effector. In contrast to parallel manipulators, there are no closed loops. By actuating the joints, one can position and orient the end-effector in a plane or in three-dimensional (3D) space to perform desired tasks with the end-effector.
Guidelines for Setting Filter and Module Execution Rate
The is a recording of a presentation given at Emerson Exchange 2010. Basic guidelines are presented on how to set filtering to avoid aliasing. Also, information is provided on how to set control execution rate to achieve best performance.

This document proposes a new one-step method for tuning PI/PID controllers based on closed-loop experiments. It derives simple correlations between data from a proportional-only closed-loop step response experiment and PI/PID settings that provide good performance and robustness. Specifically:
1) A proportional-only controller is used to generate a step response with 10-60% overshoot. The gain, overshoot, peak time, and steady-state change are recorded.
2) Simulations show the proposed controller gain is proportional to the proportional gain used in the experiment, with the ratio dependent only on overshoot. Simple equations are derived relating overshoot and peak time to the PI/PID settings.

Medical image analysis has witnessed significant advancements with deep learning techniques. In the domain of brain tumor segmentation, the ability to
precisely delineate tumor boundaries from magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)
scans holds profound implications for diagnosis. This study presents an ensemble convolutional neural network (CNN) with transfer learning, integrating
the state-of-the-art Deeplabv3+ architecture with the ResNet18 backbone. The
model is rigorously trained and evaluated, exhibiting remarkable performance
metrics, including an impressive global accuracy of 99.286%, a high-class accuracy of 82.191%, a mean intersection over union (IoU) of 79.900%, a weighted
IoU of 98.620%, and a Boundary F1 (BF) score of 83.303%. Notably, a detailed comparative analysis with existing methods showcases the superiority of
our proposed model. These findings underscore the model’s competence in precise brain tumor localization, underscoring its potential to revolutionize medical
image analysis and enhance healthcare outcomes. This research paves the way
for future exploration and optimization of advanced CNN models in medical
imaging, emphasizing addressing false positives and resource efficiency.
DEEP LEARNING FOR SMART GRID INTRUSION DETECTION: A HYBRID CNN-LSTM-BASED MODEL
As digital technology becomes more deeply embedded in power systems, protecting the communication
networks of Smart Grids (SG) has emerged as a critical concern. Distributed Network Protocol 3 (DNP3)
represents a multi-tiered application layer protocol extensively utilized in Supervisory Control and Data
Acquisition (SCADA)-based smart grids to facilitate real-time data gathering and control functionalities.
Robust Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) are necessary for early threat detection and mitigation because
of the interconnection of these networks, which makes them vulnerable to a variety of cyberattacks. To
solve this issue, this paper develops a hybrid Deep Learning (DL) model specifically designed for intrusion
detection in smart grids. The proposed approach is a combination of the Convolutional Neural Network
(CNN) and the Long-Short-Term Memory algorithms (LSTM). We employed a recent intrusion detection
dataset (DNP3), which focuses on unauthorized commands and Denial of Service (DoS) cyberattacks, to
train and test our model. The results of our experiments show that our CNN-LSTM method is much better
at finding smart grid intrusions than other deep learning algorithms used for classification. In addition,
our proposed approach improves accuracy, precision, recall, and F1 score, achieving a high detection
accuracy rate of 99.50%.
A SYSTEMATIC RISK ASSESSMENT APPROACH FOR SECURING THE SMART IRRIGATION SYSTEMS

The main objective of a smart irrigation system is to optimize water efficiency, minimize expenses, and foster the adoption of sustainable water management methods. This paper conducts a systematic risk assessment by exploring the key components/assets and their functionalities in the smart irrigation system. The crucial role of sensors in gathering data on soil moisture, weather patterns, and plant well-being is emphasized in this system. These sensors enable intelligent decision-making in irrigation scheduling and water distribution, leading to enhanced water efficiency and sustainable water management practices. Actuators enable automated control of irrigation devices, ensuring precise and targeted water delivery to plants. Additionally, the paper addresses the potential threat and vulnerabilities associated with smart irrigation systems. It discusses limitations of the system, such as power constraints and computational capabilities, and calculates the potential security risks. The paper suggests possible risk treatment methods for effective secure system operation. In conclusion, the paper emphasizes the significant benefits of implementing smart irrigation systems, including improved water conservation, increased crop yield, and reduced environmental impact. Additionally, based on the security analysis conducted, the paper recommends the implementation of countermeasures and security approaches to address vulnerabilities and ensure the integrity and reliability of the system. By incorporating these measures, smart irrigation technology can revolutionize water management practices in agriculture, promoting sustainability, resource efficiency, and safeguarding against potential security threats.

The automotive industry and smart vehicles in particular, are confronting design issues such as being prone to electromagnetic interference (EMI). Electronic control devices calculate incorrect outputs because of EMI and sensors give misleading values which can prove fatal in case of automotives. In this paper, the authors have non exhaustively tried to review research work concerned with the investigation of EMI in ICs and prediction of this EMI using various modelling methodologies and measurement setups.

Embedded machine learning-based road conditions and driving behavior monitoring
Car accident rates have increased in recent years, resulting in losses in human lives, properties, and other financial costs. An embedded machine learning-based system is developed to address this critical issue. The system can monitor road conditions, detect driving patterns, and identify aggressive driving behaviors. The system is based on neural networks trained on a comprehensive dataset of driving events, driving styles, and road conditions. The system effectively detects potential risks and helps mitigate the frequency and impact of accidents. The primary goal is to ensure the safety of drivers and vehicles. Collecting data involved gathering information on three key road events: normal street and normal drive, speed bumps, circular yellow speed bumps, and three aggressive driving actions: sudden start, sudden stop, and sudden entry. The gathered data is processed and analyzed using a machine learning system designed for limited power and memory devices. The developed system resulted in 91.9% accuracy, 93.6% precision, and 92% recall. The achieved inference time on an Arduino Nano 33 BLE Sense with a 32-bit CPU running at 64 MHz is 34 ms and requires 2.6 kB peak RAM and 139.9 kB program flash memory, making it suitable for resource-constrained embedded systems.
