This document provides information for parents about classroom policies and resources for Mrs. Linford's 4th grade class. It outlines homework expectations including daily reading, weekly math pages, and spelling lists. 3. Homework
● Every night reading 20-30 minutes from an
AR book that is their level.
● Every Thursday night there will be 1 math
page to complete and bring back by the
following Monday.
*Sent home in Peechees

4. Spelling
● Spelling lists come out of the “Words Their
Way” workbook.
● It comes home in Peechees on Thur.
● They get tested on it the following Thur.
● They get a new spelling menu every month
to work on in class.

5. Math
● We are using Eureka Math this year
● This site has awesome resources just for
parents:

6. Accelerated Reading
● A contract went home today (8/27) to sign
with students
● It shows their reading level range (ie: 2.8-
3.9) & their point goal for end of trimester
and mid-trimester
● They will take tests on the books they read
here at school

7. Class Dojo
● A class management & communication tool
for student, teacher, and families
● Sign-up directions and codes were sent
home in peechees 8/27
● We should be able to leave messages for
each other and keep track student
behaviors in fun and engaging ways for kids

8. EdModo
● Permission slips needed

9. Power School
● Powerschool is the hub where you can
check students’ grades and progress.
