Mobilising Evidence and Organisational Knowledge in the NHSCILIP
Sue Lacey Bryant (Senior Advisor, Knowledge for Healthcare, Health Education England) and Louise Goswami's (Head of Library and Knowledge Services Development, Health Education England) presentation to the CILIP 2017 Conference in Manchester #CILIPConf17
Health Education England (HEE) is driving the implementation of Knowledge for Healthcare which articulates an ambitious vision for healthcare library and knowledge services funded by the NHS. These services supply the evidence base to the NHS to make #AMillionDecisions a day. HEE is taking a strategic approach to mobilising evidence and organisational knowledge through policy and advocacy initiatives, by introducing new resources, tools and techniques and by empowering our workforce. Partnership working across all sectors, and including CILIP, is central to our success. The speakers will outline their approach, share experience and invite ongoing dialogue.

Expo is the most significant annual health and social care event in the calendar, uniting more NHS and care leaders, commissioners, clinicians, voluntary sector partners, innovators and media than any other health and care event.
Expo 15 returned to Manchester and was hosted once again by NHS England. Around 5000 people a day from health and care, the voluntary sector, local government, and industry joined together at Manchester Central Convention Centre for two packed days of speakers, workshops, exhibitions and professional development.
This year, Expo was more relevant and engaging than ever before, happening within the first 100 days of the new Government, and almost 12 months after the publication of the NHS Five Year Forward View. It was also a great opportunity to check on and learn from the progress of Greater Manchester as the area prepares to take over a £6 billion devolved health and social care budget, pledging to integrate hospital, community, primary and social care and vastly improve health and well-being.

Tinder Foundation has supported almost 2 million people to cross the digital divide. These slides are a collection of various slides presented at a number of different speeches - so it's not one presentation, it's many.

Why Healthcare Service all over the world is failing to deliver quality care? The main reason is because there are too many people offering advice and treatment with no knowledge of how, why and what happens in our body. Prescribing drugs is not healthcare. Virtual NHS is a portal to help doctors to take control of their profession and offer the best service they promised to deliver.
I have been subjected to harassment, bullying, black mailed and threatened by nurses and their associates because I raised concern to help reduce wrong doings that went in in the NHS since 2003. Unfortunately, thousands of people who accessed healthcare in the NHS(UK) needlessly died. There must be thousands of people suffering complications.
Using our tools and this Virtual NHS Apps will help protect you from atrocities.

0x01 - Newton's Third Law: Static vs. Dynamic AbusersOWASP Beja
f you offer a service on the web, odds are that someone will abuse it. Be it an API, a SaaS, a PaaS, or even a static website, someone somewhere will try to figure out a way to use it to their own needs. In this talk we'll compare measures that are effective against static attackers and how to battle a dynamic attacker who adapts to your counter-measures.

Editor's Notes
Thank you all for coming
We are currently Facebook live, hello to everyone watching. Please do ask any questions you may have
Quickly introduce everyone…
What to expect from today
Can’t thank you all enough for signing up to do this incredible challenge for Sarcoma UK
As you know without your help we will be unable to…
In the 2018-19 year, 74p in every pound we spend goes into research, information, support and education. The remaining 26p is spent on fundraising activity, administration and governance.
We have funded 52 research projects and invested over £3mil into scientific and medical research
pilot grants allow researchers to explore fresh innovative new ideas, whilst our larger grants take those seeds to the next level
flagship studentship programme invests in the research leaders of the future, with each studentship contributing an average of 40 years to sarcoma research.
Our Clinical research seeks effective and improved care for patients during treatment.
For a lot of people who use the service, it’s a lifeline, a source of up-to-date, advice and guidance from experts who understand the patient and family perspective
Clinical teams do not necessarily have time or resource to be able to support all of their patients in a way that they would like to, which is where the Support Line can make a real difference.
The policy team looks for evidence to develop policy which will influence key decision makers in the Government, NHS, and research communities
Sarcoma UK is focussed on increasing sarcoma awareness where it matters: earlier diagnosis, access to treatment, funding scientific and medical research
Our supporters, healthcare professionals, and researchers work closely with us to ensure that the biggest issues they face are addressed.
