This week is all about helping YOU as teachers
(we worry about your students enough the other weeks)
•Productivity tools help teachers to:
o Teach more efficiently and effectively
o Ensure activities are efficient and effective
o Measure learning outcomes in an efficient and effective way
•Productivity tasks are how teachers do these.
o Support student learning
o Classroom management
o Administrative responsibilities

3. What are [teacher] productivity tasks?
• Today we will focus on PRODUCTIVITY TASKS
because we want to understand how productivity
tools can be used to complete teachers tasks.
(We will refer back to your class prep in
today’s activities. Do not worry…)

5. Types of productivity tasks
These are not all of them – these are three categories
that we think need special attention
•Supporting Student Learning:
o Includes facilitating the many different activities that we have mentioned in
the last few weeks, including the three E’s to help students learn and the
logistics of a more active classroom
•Classroom management:
o Grading, attendance, etc – really managing the the things that a teacher
does and needs to do from an organizational perspective
•Administrative Responsibilities:
o Comprehensive solutions – blends the previous categories
o Total environment for learning and teaching – both sides of the desk are
involved.
o School administration involved as well.
