For WordPress 4.6 release video subtitle captioning and translation to few Indian languages, we organized a translation sprint. The result was that new contributors learned overall contribution process much faster and became motivated. Many of those first-time contributors went ahead and still contributing. This presentation has details about what we did and how it worked.

In the contemporary world economy, India is the second-largest exporter of IT and ITES services, which denotes a huge presence of IT services based industry in India. Due to time zone difference and distance there are huge gaps between Clients and service provide, Which eventually leads to disruption in business and produces havoc on both sides. With introduction of scrum framework in software development process the clients and IT service provides are reaping fruits in multiple arena like closer collaboration, effective change management and transparent process etc. This presentation will discuss about the gratifications Indian IT industry received after Scrum framework being implemented for IT and ITES sectors along with the discussion about ‘How Indian IT business can grow by implementing Scrum Framework’.

Culture is the most widely talked in societies, religion, race, region and workplaces as well. Organizations are the Second Homes as people spend their better half of their time in their offices. Hence, Culture is an integral part (good or bad) for driving the happiness of clients and the colleagues, and success for the products/projects and growing / sustaining business. Agile Implementation is highly dependent upon the Culture of the Organization. How does a Manager transition to the Role of a Product Owner? What happens to a Product Owner who wants to retain his control on the team rather than working on the Product? Some developers think that Scrum, for instance, brings a lot of meetings and these meetings are a waste of time. The Scrum Master’s role is not a full time role in many companies. Leadership thinks Agile can solve most of their issues without even knowing the root causes of the issues. This session argues that using a blueprint is premature optimization.
