Learn Beyond Expectations.
Education Beyond Success.
Brief History and
Background of WCC :WCC's evolution is both a tribute and inspiration to its leaders, personnel, alumni,
students, and friends who continue to contribute in achieving the school's mission of
moving the Filipinos toward global reach.
September 1969. Holy Trinity School is a long-established institution in basic education
aspiring to venture in tertiary education. It was founded by Mrs. Virginia Datiles Vda. de
Lizardo in 1969. The school was โ€œorphanedโ€ when President Datiles died in 1995. The
Board of Directors turned over the management and ownership of the school to the
Guico family in 1997 and since then, it has grown by leaps and bounds under the
leadership of President Ramon V. Guico III.
June 15, 1971. The Securities and Exchange Commission issued a Certificate of
Incorporation to the Medical Center for Quezon City (MCQC). In the same year, the
Bureau of Medical Service of the Department of Health issued a permit to the center to
operate as a 50-bed capacity hospital.
1978. The liberal arts program in Psychology was offered. The course will later comprise
one of the three programs in the College of Arts and Sciences.
June 1979. MCQC changed its corporate name to Quezon City Medical Center and
Colleges, Inc. (QCMCC). The School of Nursing was established as QCMCC's first college
offering the General Nursing program โ€“ a two-year preparatory nursing course.
March 1986. The Guico family acquired ownership and management of the QCMCC.
1987. The College of Radiologic Technology (CRT) was founded. A four-year degree
leading to the Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Technology was offered.
1993. The College of Rehabilitation Science (CRS), College of Pharmacy (CP) and the
College of Medical Technology were established.
1994 . The hospital was reconstructed into a 276 bed tertiary medical center.
April 1997. Richard Danao, Midwifery '97, topped the PRC Licensure Examination for
Midwifery given in the same year.
1995-1997. QCMCC โ€œadoptedโ€ Holy Trinity School (HTS) in Caloocan City . The HTS Board
of Directors turned over management and ownership to the Guico family in 1997. HTS
will later become the WCC Caloocan campus.
June 17, 2000. The Westminster College of the Philippines was established.
The institution offers baccalaureate degrees in Business Administration, Accountancy,
Elementary and Secondary Education, Criminology and Nursing. Under the supervision of
the WCC education system, the college aims to develop young people who will become
the country's leaders in the future.
2000 . The College of Criminology and College of Education were created in Westminster
College .
2001 . QCMCC changed its name to World Citi Inc. The hospital division was renamed to
World Citi Medical Center and the school to World Citi Colleges.

WCC'S CORE VALUES:
THE BE-ATTITUDES OF A WORLD CITIZEN
Christ-centered. In my heart and mind, Christ's love and sacrifice is treasured. In words
and in deeds, the love that was given to me through the cross is shown to my
fellowmen. The truth that has set me free remains the light that guides me in my walk.
Servant-leader. Inspired by the words of Christ, "I came not to be served but to serve," I
help the community through an excellent, competent, humble and righteous direction.
Marked by my deep desire to look after those who are in need, as a World Citizen, I
plant the seed of my youth to the fertile soil of authentic Christian leadership.
Excellent. In all toil and labor, I give my best effort. Where there is a need for sacrifice, I
am always ready to offer that extra-mile. I shun off mediocrity but rejoice in the success
of my pursuits.
Compassionate. I am a person of strength, yet my heart remains broken before Jesus. I
realize that God-given might shall be for those who need it the most. I am always ready
to give a helping hand, no matter how costly the sacrifice maybe. I am gentle in spirit,
an epitome of unconditional love and tenderness.
Person of Integrity. The love of God has made me a complete person. Being such, I
cherish a life that shows the virtues of Christianity. In home and school, in every work or
play, wherever and in whatever circumstances I am in, I become the salt and light that
Christ commands everyone to be. I set the example of a Godly attitude

social responsibility.
The World Citi Colleges is committed to develop World Citizens who
contribute to the academic advancement of humanity by providing
excellent and holistic education with a firm Christian foundation that is
relevant, responsive and research-driven in curriculum; globe in scope;
nationalistic in perspective; and culturally diverse in orientation.
MISSION:
WCC Philosophy and Credo
World Citi Colleges is an institution founded in the uncompromising belief that God is
the Lord of history and therefore nothing happens in human life without divine
providence and intervention.
WCC stands on the conviction that its educational vision and mission constitute a high
calling and ministry. Bound by its dedication to educational excellence, it is mandated to
lead in holistic and professional education that is Christian in foundation, nationalist in
perspective, competency-based and research-driven in curriculum, scientific in
emphasis, global in scope and culturally diverse in orientation.
Therefore, we envision WCC graduates to be truly Christ-centered in commitment and
character, proven in professional competence and Filipino in identity and consciousness.
As World Citizens, WCC alumni exceed standard expectations in their fields of
specialization. With superior academic training and intellectual prowess, they rise above
the throng in their passion for achievement, always excelling in performance and
leadership.
Imbued in their WCC culture is the profound concern for ecological and socio-economic
justice, human life and dignity. Thus, World Citizens respect all people as persons of
sacred worth and because of this they cross boundaries to remove all prejudices on the
basis of creed, class, race, or gender. This lifestyle and philosophy is rooted in the WCC
Christian vocation embodied in its college hymn: "Called to serve and to care."
WCC HYMN
We burn the midnight oil
To seek and know and dream
To be the best we can be
Borne of love, compassion and integrity.
Oh the light of truth and goodness
Brightly shines for all to see
We commit to the task before us
Hand in hand with dignity
And the world will be changed forever
When God calls His Citi to share
We're the World Citi Colleges
Called upon to serve and to care.
We reach for the highest high
Respected and admired
With Pride we carry our name
To the world our mission we proclaim.
WCC PRAYER
Dear God
In our search for truth
Teach us compassion
Lead us to fulfill our dreams
and mission
To honestly discover ourselves
again
That we affirm and treasure
the wealth within
In Christ's name we pray
Amen.

  • 1. The World Citi Colleges Guimba Campus Learn Beyond Expectations. Education Beyond Success.
  • 2. Brief History and Background of WCC :WCC's evolution is both a tribute and inspiration to its leaders, personnel, alumni, students, and friends who continue to contribute in achieving the school's mission of moving the Filipinos toward global reach. September 1969. Holy Trinity School is a long-established institution in basic education aspiring to venture in tertiary education. It was founded by Mrs. Virginia Datiles Vda. de Lizardo in 1969. The school was โ€œorphanedโ€ when President Datiles died in 1995. The Board of Directors turned over the management and ownership of the school to the Guico family in 1997 and since then, it has grown by leaps and bounds under the leadership of President Ramon V. Guico III. June 15, 1971. The Securities and Exchange Commission issued a Certificate of Incorporation to the Medical Center for Quezon City (MCQC). In the same year, the Bureau of Medical Service of the Department of Health issued a permit to the center to operate as a 50-bed capacity hospital. 1978. The liberal arts program in Psychology was offered. The course will later comprise one of the three programs in the College of Arts and Sciences. June 1979. MCQC changed its corporate name to Quezon City Medical Center and Colleges, Inc. (QCMCC). The School of Nursing was established as QCMCC's first college offering the General Nursing program โ€“ a two-year preparatory nursing course.
  • 3. March 1986. The Guico family acquired ownership and management of the QCMCC. 1987. The College of Radiologic Technology (CRT) was founded. A four-year degree leading to the Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Technology was offered. 1993. The College of Rehabilitation Science (CRS), College of Pharmacy (CP) and the College of Medical Technology were established. 1994 . The hospital was reconstructed into a 276 bed tertiary medical center. April 1997. Richard Danao, Midwifery '97, topped the PRC Licensure Examination for Midwifery given in the same year. 1995-1997. QCMCC โ€œadoptedโ€ Holy Trinity School (HTS) in Caloocan City . The HTS Board of Directors turned over management and ownership to the Guico family in 1997. HTS will later become the WCC Caloocan campus. June 17, 2000. The Westminster College of the Philippines was established. The institution offers baccalaureate degrees in Business Administration, Accountancy, Elementary and Secondary Education, Criminology and Nursing. Under the supervision of the WCC education system, the college aims to develop young people who will become the country's leaders in the future. 2000 . The College of Criminology and College of Education were created in Westminster College . 2001 . QCMCC changed its name to World Citi Inc. The hospital division was renamed to World Citi Medical Center and the school to World Citi Colleges.

  • 6. WCC'S CORE VALUES: THE BE-ATTITUDES OF A WORLD CITIZEN Christ-centered. In my heart and mind, Christ's love and sacrifice is treasured. In words and in deeds, the love that was given to me through the cross is shown to my fellowmen. The truth that has set me free remains the light that guides me in my walk. Servant-leader. Inspired by the words of Christ, "I came not to be served but to serve," I help the community through an excellent, competent, humble and righteous direction. Marked by my deep desire to look after those who are in need, as a World Citizen, I plant the seed of my youth to the fertile soil of authentic Christian leadership. Excellent. In all toil and labor, I give my best effort. Where there is a need for sacrifice, I am always ready to offer that extra-mile. I shun off mediocrity but rejoice in the success of my pursuits. Compassionate. I am a person of strength, yet my heart remains broken before Jesus. I realize that God-given might shall be for those who need it the most. I am always ready to give a helping hand, no matter how costly the sacrifice maybe. I am gentle in spirit, an epitome of unconditional love and tenderness. Person of Integrity. The love of God has made me a complete person. Being such, I cherish a life that shows the virtues of Christianity. In home and school, in every work or play, wherever and in whatever circumstances I am in, I become the salt and light that Christ commands everyone to be. I set the example of a Godly attitude
