Taiwan has limited fresh water resources, with uneven rainfall distribution and high silt content in rivers. Only about 18% of river runoff is used. Agriculture accounts for 70% of water use. Global warming is exacerbating drought issues in southern Taiwan. Taiwanese have only 1/7 the average global per capita water availability, so Taiwan is relatively water-scarce. The document calls for establishing a sense of crisis around water shortages through education, strengthening water resource protection, promoting conservation such as showering instead of bathing, and reusing rainwater. Conservation is everyone's responsibility to ensure sufficient water resources for the future.
A PowerPoint Presentation made by a 9th STD boy. Currently, I am in 10th. This presentation is made by me only but one year back. The are actually pretty much animations as well as nice fonts which are not shown here. I hope I had created my presentation which is correctly relevant to the topic.

Surface and ground water sources are pinpointed, highlighting the genuine sources of public water supply. In further slides, factors governing the selection of a particular source of supply are pointed out; and finally, the necessity of water to mankind is herein.
Water is the most precious gift of nature. It has no taste, no smell and no colour. It is found everywhere and the other name of it is life. We find it in tanks, ponds, wells, rivers and springs. Almost three-fourth of the earth is water. We should conserve and save water so as to protect the water environment.
Smart use of Water and Energy in domestic householdsMrinmoy Majumder
This presentation proposes a new method to optimally utilize the water supplied to domestic households in such a manner that both water and energy used in running the supply pumps can be conserved. The proposed "sensor based network of sub-tanks" can help to reduce the wastage of sufficient amount of water and the introduction of purifier at the inlet can save energy which is otherwise wasted in over running a corroded water pump.

Water conservation encompasses the policies, strategies and activities made to manage fresh water as a sustainable resource, to protect the water environment, and to meet current and future human demand. Population, household size, and growth and affluence all affect how much water is used. Factors such as climate change will increase pressures on natural water resources especially in manufacturing and agricultural irrigation.
Water conservation refers to any beneficial reduction of water usage, loss or waste.
Water is the “invisible utility”, whose usage patterns are too often overlooked by companies as a cost of doing business. Water bills can account for as much as 20% of a buildings’ utility cost and upwards in process applications. Compared to other countries, Canadian water prices are well below average. The cost of water is likely to rise as watersheds are depleted, water conservation and efficiency standards are legislated, and municipal governments increase rates to fund repairs to aging infrastructure. To reduce water utility bills, building owners must find ways to limit their consumption without sacrificing occupancy comfort.
Water conservation is the practice of using water efficiently to reduce unnecessary water usage. According to Fresh Water Watch, water conservation is important because fresh clean water is a limited resource, as well as a costly one.

Relooking our Water Resources. a ppt prepared by my daughter Pragya as a part of her group assignment. This ppt attempts to see our water resources as a whole, distribution of freshwater, Water utilization,Global Challenges, Ways to Conserve and Impacts of Water Conservation, A nice way to get a broader canvas from Today's Children's perspective.
Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.

Embracing GenAI - A Strategic ImperativePeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.
