2. Water pollution
Water pollution is defined as “the addition of any substance to
water or changing of waters physical or chemical quality is any
way which Interferes with its use for eliminate purpose

Conclusion
5. water pollution due to point source
Point source of water pollution are those which have direct
identifiable source
Pipe attach to factory
Oil spill from a tanker
Waste water effluent from both municipal &industrial
6. Water pollution from non point source
Non point sources of water pollution are
derived from different sources of origin and
arrived in the environment from different non
digestible sources.
Run of from agricultural fields
Urban waste
7. Some other sources of water pollution
Urbanisation
Urbanisation leads to higher phosphorous
concentration in urban catchments increasing run off
urbanised surfaces,and,increased,municipal and
industrial discharges result in increased loadings of
nutrients of urban streams.
8. Sewage and other waste
Sewage is water borne waste derived from domestic
waste and animal.it includes human
excreates,paper,cloth,soap,detergents.these are a
major proportion of pollutants entering our water.
9. Industrial waste
Many of the industries are situated along the bank of
river such as steel and paper industries. For their
requirements of huge amounts of water in
manufacturing,processes and their waste containing
acid, alkalies and other chemicals dumped and
poured into as effulents.
10. Agrochemical waste
Agrochemical wastes include fertilizers, pesticides which may
be herbicides and insecticides widely used in crop fields to
enhance productivity.improper disposal of pesticides from
agricultural activities contributes a lot of pollutants to
water.some of pesticide are DDT,Aldrin,bengene,etc.
11. Effect of water pollution on human health
Chemicals in water that affect human health are the presence of metals
such as –Fluoride,Arsenic,Lead,Mercury, etc.Fluoride in water is essential
for protecting agent dental carries and weakening the bones.Arsenic is
highly toxic chemical that reaches water from wastewater of industry. It
causing respiratory cancer.
12. Effect of water pollution on plants and animals
The main problem caused by water pollution is that depend
on these water bodies .Dead fish, crabs and sea
gulls, dolphins, and many other animals often wind up in
beaches, killed by pollutants in their habitat(living
environment).pollution disrupts the natural food chain as
well.
Water pollution causes an explosion of new plant growth by
providing necessary nutrients and food.it can harm plants by
changing growing conditions, such as by raising or lowering
the environments acidity.
13. Control of water pollution
• Fertilize your garden and yard plants with manure or compost instead of commercial inorganic
fertilizer.
• Minimize your use of pesticides.
• Never apply fertilizer or pesticides near a body of water.
• Grow or buy organic foods.
• Compost your food wastes.
• Do not use water fresheners in toilets.
• Do not flush unwanted medicines down the toilet.
• Do not pour pesticides, paints, solvents, oil, antifreeze, or other products containing harmful
chemicals down the drain or onto the ground.
14. Water pollution is bad and it’s not good for people to drink the water that’s polluted and for all
organisms that need water to survive.
There are millions of people that don’t have good clean access to water and that they even have
to drink the bad polluted water for them it survive, Sewage can cause water pollution along with
the toxic chemicals from Industrial business.
