Introduction
• Water shortage and water stress issues represent a genuine risk to the
worldwide. The conventional method for manual meter reading time
and consuming inconvenient.
• This method is unable to manage the sustainable water resources
effectively that provides efficient, accurate and reliable monitoring
techniques.
• This system introduces the water monitoring system based on real-
time cloud computing and that can be control by using android
mobiles.
Cont.
• All the current update regarding monitoring like Time ON, Time OFF,
Water level, Date etc. are store in cloud and show the details on the
mobile screen.
• We can also control water leveling by using our mobile directly. This
system can use in home appliance, agricultures and many others
places.
RELATED WORK
• Monitor the water level of water systems such as water tanks, rivers,
ground water table, and bore wells remotely. We have also shown
that how to control the working of pump automatically and remotely.
• It can also be used to remotely monitor the flood areas wirelessly
and information can be sent to mobile wirelessly.
• project is designed to monitor the water level with the help of water
level sensors, Zigbee 802.15.4, 74HC14 inverter and GSM technology.
• SMS is sent to owner or phone numbers inputted into the system,
alarms are generated at desired levels.
PROPOSED ARCHITECTURE
Components/Softwear
• Raspberry Pi Model B – This runs Windows 10 IoT core and hosts a
native application to accept commands from a push button to turn the
tap On/Off
• Xamarin Mobile App – The app can be used to send the commands
to Azure web service to turn tap On/Off, and view reports of water
consumption
• Azure Web Service – Accepts inputs about the tap being turned
On/Off and updates the Azure storage
• Reporting Application – Web application hosted on Azure that
displays reports on water consumption based on the data captured
Flowchart
Information Architecture
• The data captured is stored on Azure SQL Database.
Data Model
• Below is the data model for SQL database –
