Waterfall, or even System Development Life Cycle
(SDLC) had crossed the chasm
• It had become the norm for many people in terms
of the way they performed work
• People didn’t feel the need to refer to it separately
or as if it was something other than what they were
doing which was performing work
• Question: how often do you use or hear the words

– Accountable to the group for the decisions when made together
• What is the Goal for the Conversation
– Start small
– Keep it reasonable
– Don’t verbally throw up relying on unnecessary vocabulary such as
Agile or Scrum
– Avoid unhelpful words such as “always”, “everyone”, “never”,
“nobody”, etc.

  • 10. • Project Management, sometimes referred to as Waterfall, or even System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) had crossed the chasm • It had become the norm for many people in terms of the way they performed work • People didn’t feel the need to refer to it separately or as if it was something other than what they were doing which was performing work • Question: how often do you use or hear the words Agile and Scrum on a daily basis at work now?
