1) King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon besieged Jerusalem and took captive some of the children of Israel, including Daniel and his friends.
2) Daniel and his friends refused to eat the king's food or drink his wine, requesting instead vegetables and water, as they did not want to defile themselves. They appeared healthier than those who ate the royal food.
3) King Nebuchadnezzar had a dream that troubled him, but he could not remember it. He demanded that his magicians tell him both the dream and its interpretation, but they could not. Daniel received revelation from God of both the dream and its meaning.

The Mystery of The Seventy Weeks - Prophecy In The News Magazine - December...miscott57
Gabriel appeared to Daniel while he was praying and gave him a prophecy about seventy "weeks" of years that would be fulfilled for Israel and Jerusalem. The seventy weeks were divided into seven weeks, sixty-two weeks, and one week, with gaps of unspecified time between. Gabriel said these weeks would involve finishing transgression, making an end of sins, making reconciliation for iniquity, and bringing in everlasting righteousness. Jesus' triumphal entry and crucifixion were the fulfillment of this prophecy about the Messiah being "cut off".
King Nebuchadnezzar has a dream that disturbs him greatly. He demands that his magicians and wise men tell him both the dream and its meaning, but they are unable to do so. Daniel is able to interpret the dream, in which Nebuchadnezzar sees a large statue made of different metals that is destroyed by a rock becoming a mountain. Daniel explains that the statue represents future kingdoms, and the rock is the eternal kingdom of God that will crush all earthly kingdoms and reign forever. Nebuchadnezzar is impressed and elevates Daniel to a high position.
1) Belshazzar, the young king of Babylon, throws a lavish party where he drinks wine from sacred vessels that were taken from the Temple in Jerusalem, mocking God.
2) That night, a hand appears and writes a mysterious message on the palace wall that cannot be interpreted by Belshazzar's wise men.
3) Daniel is brought in and interprets the message, revealing that Babylon will fall that night and be given to the Medes and Persians. Belshazzar is killed that same night, and Darius the Mede takes the kingdom.
- King Nebuchadnezzar was a great and powerful ruler who had conquered many lands and built the magnificent city of Babylon. However, he became proud and boastful.
- God gave Nebuchadnezzar a disturbing dream that only Daniel could interpret. Daniel explained that the dream foretold that Nebuchadnezzar would lose his mind and live like a wild animal for seven years.
- Sure enough, while boasting about his great kingdom one day, Nebuchadnezzar immediately lost his mind and lived in the wild as a beast for seven years, eating grass. After this time, his sanity returned and he acknowledged God as the true ruler.
This summary provides the key details from the document in 3 sentences:
Daniel found himself in a position of power over heathen rulers as chief ruler, which made his enemies jealous. His enemies convinced King Darius to pass a law preventing prayer to any god except the king for 30 days, knowing this would trap Daniel. Daniel continued praying openly near an open window towards Jerusalem, was reported to the king and thrown into the lions' den, but the king's God protected Daniel from the lions overnight as the king had hoped.

God is sovereign over all kingdoms and sets over them anyone He wishes, as seen through examples in Daniel of Nebuchadnezzar's pride being humbled and Babylon falling to the Medes and Persians. The sermon discusses Daniel chapters 4-5, focusing on Nebuchadnezzar's dream of a felled tree representing his loss of power for seven years due to pride, and Belshazzar seeing a disembodied hand write his doom on the wall at his feast. Lessons are about evidencing a knowledge of God through boldness, contentment, and right thoughts of Him as supreme ruler of history. The plan of salvation is outlined, explaining all have sinned and died spiritually
The document describes a vision that Daniel had which is recorded in the Bible in Daniel 10. Daniel saw a man clothed in linen whose appearance reflected God's glory and power. The man's eyes were like flames of fire and his arms and feet shone like polished bronze. This vision signified that God would execute judgments through Daniel to destroy the wicked and bring about righteousness.
This document is a summary of chapters 4-5 of the book of Daniel from a sermon given at First Baptist Church in Jackson, Mississippi. It discusses how God demonstrated his sovereignty over King Nebuchadnezzar through changing his mind and body into that of an animal for seven years after his pride. It also covers the story of Belshazzar seeing a mysterious hand write a message on the wall during a feast that is interpreted by Daniel, predicting Babylon's fall that same night to the Medes and Persians. The sermon argues these stories from Daniel show God's control over the destinies of both pagan empires and his people.
1. Nebuchadnezzar has a troubling dream that disturbs his sleep, but cannot remember the dream. He demands that his wise men tell him both the dream and its interpretation.
2. When the wise men are unable to do so, Nebuchadnezzar sentences them all to death. Daniel asks God for the dream's revelation and interpretation to save the wise men.
3. God reveals the dream to Daniel - an image made of different metals that is destroyed by a stone. Daniel interprets it as different kingdoms that will be destroyed by God's eternal kingdom. Nebuchadnezzar promotes Daniel for revealing the dream.

This document provides an overview and lesson plan for a class on the divided kingdoms of Israel and Judah. The class will include activities like prayer, goal setting, and reviewing a chart of kings. Students will learn about key events like the split into two kingdoms after Solomon's rule, the influence of prophets, and the later captivities by Assyria and Babylon. The homework assigns Bible reading, test taking, and discussing chapters that recount the early kings of Israel.
Nebuchadnezzar was a ruthless king of Babylon who expanded his empire through force, conquering places like Jerusalem and sending the Jewish people into exile. He was cruel, punishing disobedience harshly including killing his own son. Nebuchadnezzar's expanding empire became difficult to control, causing rebellions. God warned Nebuchadnezzar through dreams to change, but he did not listen and continued expanding ruthlessly. This overextension led to the weakening and eventual fall of the Neo-Babylonian Empire during Nebuchadnezzar's reign.
The document discusses Daniel's dream in Daniel 7 of four beasts coming out of the sea. It provides interpretations of the dream:
1) The first beast, a lion with eagle's wings, represents the Babylonian Empire. The wings being plucked represent Babylon losing power when conquered by the Medo-Persian Empire.
2) The second beast, a bear, represents the Median Empire which existed until 550 BCE.
3) The third beast, a four-headed leopard with wings, represents the Greek Empire of Alexander the Great from 539-330 BCE.
4) The fourth beast, a diverse beast with iron teeth and ten horns, represents the Roman Empire which persecuted Jews

This document discusses Daniel chapter 2 and its prophecies about future empires. It argues that the chapter prophesied the rise of the Muslim Caliphate empire. It interprets the statue's body parts as representing the Babylonian, Persian, Greek, and Roman empires. It asserts that the stone that destroys the statue represents the rise of Islam and the Muslim empire in the 7th century, fulfilling the prophecy of a kingdom set up by God. The document addresses attempts by some Christian scholars to interpret the prophecy differently and exclude Islam.

Sesi 12 figur samuel dan saul dalam kitab samuelAlbertusPur
Samuel was a religious leader in ancient Israel who played a key role in the transition from the period of judges to the establishment of the monarchy. He was born in answer to his mother Hannah's prayers for a child and was dedicated to God's service from a young age. Samuel experienced visions where God revealed messages to him. He judged Israel and helped lead them to victory over the Philistines. Though he objected to the people's desire for a king, God instructed him to anoint Saul as the first king of Israel. Samuel continued serving as a prophet, confronting Saul over disobedience, and anointing David to eventually take Saul's place.
Belshazzar held a great feast for thousands of his nobles where they drank wine from vessels that had been taken from the Jerusalem temple. That night a hand appeared and wrote a message on the wall that was interpreted by Daniel as meaning God had numbered Belshazzar's kingdom and found him wanting, so his kingdom would be divided and given to the Medes and Persians. True to the prophecy, that same night Babylon was conquered by the Medes and Persians, and Belshazzar was killed.
The document discusses the three angels' messages from Revelation 14 and identifies Babylon as a religious system that influences worldwide nations and peoples. Babylon is represented by three unclean spirits - the dragon, beast, and false prophet - that work miracles to deceive people and unite the world against God. Babylon will receive God's judgment and fall as prophesied. The document urges people to not be associated with any religious organization that rejects God's truths and persecutes his people.

Daniel 9 The Backbone of Prophecy - zion's fire - may-june 2014miscott57
Gabriel appears to Daniel in response to his prayer concerning the restoration of Jerusalem. Gabriel informs Daniel that God has determined that there will be 70 weeks (or 490 years) allotted to the Jewish people and holy city to deal with transgression, make an end of sins, bring in everlasting righteousness, and anoint the most holy place. This passage provides the backbone of biblical prophecy, especially concerning the coming of the Messiah after 69 weeks (483 years) to be cut off and have nothing.

Nebuchadnezzar was the most famous and important king of the Second Babylonian Empire who restored religious monuments and improved infrastructure projects. He was the first Babylonian king to rule Egypt and controlled a vast empire, but is best known for building the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. After dreaming of being driven insane, Daniel interpreted the dream as a prophecy that would come true if Nebuchadnezzar remained proud, which later occurred when he was driven insane for seven years until humbling himself before God.

Daniel was taken captive to Babylon along with other young men where they were to be trained and assimilated into Babylonian culture. They were given Babylonian names and fed the king's food, which likely included meat offered to idols. Daniel and his friends refused to eat the king's food or embrace the Babylonian names and lifestyle. God blessed them for their faithfulness by giving them superior understanding over the other trainees. They impressed Nebuchadnezzar with their wisdom and served faithfully until the time of Cyrus, demonstrating that God honors those who honor and remain faithful to Him, even in a foreign land.
Reformation Day Party 2011, Martin Luthersandiferb
This document provides background information on Martin Luther and the Protestant Reformation. It discusses Luther's spiritual crisis and breakthrough understanding of justification by faith alone. It describes how Luther initially intended his 95 Theses to spark academic debate but it led to controversy. Luther was eventually declared a wanted man by the Pope and faced trial before the Emperor, where he refused to recant his writings and teachings.
God rewards those who have faith and obey his commands. The document recounts how Daniel and his friends remained faithful to God's commands despite pressure to compromise. They requested a diet only of vegetables and water in place of the king's food and wine. God rewarded their faith and obedience by giving them superior knowledge and allowing them to successfully complete their education under the king's tutelage. Their commitment to God despite temptation demonstrates how faithfulness is compensated by God's favor, wisdom, and success.
The document provides background information on the Book of Daniel. It discusses that Daniel was a prince in Babylon who served as a prophet. The Book of Daniel contains detailed prophecies about future kingdoms from the time of Daniel until the end. It also demonstrates God's sovereign control over world history. Additionally, the document notes that the Book of Daniel has been shown to be historically accurate, including its mention of Belshazzar as king of Babylon, which was later confirmed by the 1956 translation of the Nabonidus Chronicle.

The document provides an introduction and overview of the Book of Daniel. It discusses Daniel's special role as a prophet who set timelines for future events. It also notes the book's authenticity and covers various chapters that describe Daniel's life and visions, including visions of four kingdoms, the 70 weeks prophecy, and end times events leading up to the Antichrist. The document examines the book's prophetic nature and Daniel's role in receiving revelations about the distant future.
The document provides definitions and ground rules for interpreting biblical prophecy and timelines. It recommends downloading a Bible study program for further research. The timeline begins with Daniel's prophecy of the 70 weeks, which are determined for Israel and Jerusalem. 69 weeks pass until the Messiah is "cut off," and the remaining final week is still future. Jesus' words in Matthew 24 imply a gap between the 69th and 70th weeks. During the future 70th week, the Antichrist will confirm a covenant and cause sacrifices to cease halfway through. This timeline forms the basis for examining concerns around the end time Temple and the revelation of the Antichrist figure.
Daniel was a teenager among the Jewish exiles in Babylon. He became the most senior administrator of the empire under three unpredictable kings. Four commitments were the foundation of his life: commitment to God, Commitment to reading the Scriptures, Commitment to prayer and commitment to professional excellence. Through visions and angelic messengers God gave Daniel six detailed visions of the future covering the period 200BC until the return of Christ.

This document discusses several key terms and events from the biblical book of Daniel and Revelation regarding end-time prophecies. It explains that the "time of the end" refers to a period when knowledge and travel greatly increase. It identifies the "king of the south" as atheistic France during its revolution and the "king of the north" as the Papacy. It details historical events in 1798 and the late 20th century that mark the prophesied interactions between these powers. The document explores symbols like "chariots," "ships," and countries being "overflowed" in the context of these end-time events.
Daniel has a vision of four beasts representing four kingdoms that will arise. A little horn power arises and persecutes the saints for a time, times, and half a time (1260 years). Judgment is then given in favor of the saints. The prophecies point to the time of the end and are unsealed by Adventism after 1844. Daniel is troubled by the vision but keeps it to ponder its meaning.
The document discusses the 2300 day prophecy in Daniel 8:14. It provides historical and biblical context to identify the starting point of the prophecy in 457 BC and its fulfillment in 1844. Key details include: the 70 week prophecy concluding in AD 34, the 2300 days representing 2300 years until the heavenly sanctuary is cleansed, and the cleansing occurring on the Day of Atonement in 1844. Jesus is identified as the sole high priest, and the heavenly sanctuary as the true tabernacle.
Israel turned away from God to idol worship many times. God warned them through prophets but they did not listen. Babylon conquered Jerusalem and took Daniel and his friends captive. They were trained in Babylon but refused to eat the king's unclean food or drink wine, instead requesting a vegetarian diet. After 10 days they seemed healthier, so their diet was allowed. They greatly excelled in wisdom above all others. Their secret was purposefully obeying God's laws with his blessing.

God is sovereign over all things, including the sufferings of his people, which he uses for good. When Daniel and others were taken captive to Babylon, Daniel resolved not to defile himself by eating the king's food, as it may have been offered to idols. Through prayer and with God's help, Daniel and his friends maintained their faith and integrity, and God gave them superior understanding and knowledge, allowing Daniel to interpret the king's dreams when the king's wise men failed. This showed that God reveals mysteries and controls the affairs of mankind.
Book of Daniel, part 2 (Bible prophesies for the last times series)Anar R Guliyev
The document discusses two groups of God's people that are mentioned in Revelation:
1) The 144,000 who meet Christ alive on Mount Zion and are sealed to be protected from tribulations.
2) The great multitude that comes out of great tribulation, who are resurrected to stand before the throne of God. Both groups ultimately meet together with Christ, with the resurrected rising first followed by those alive being caught up.
The story of Daniel and his friends is presented as a foreshadowing of these two groups, with Daniel representing the 144,000 who remain faithful until the end, and his friends representing the great multitude who face tribulation but are saved.

Nebuchadnezzar had a dream that troubled him greatly, but he could not remember the dream. He called on his magicians and wise men to interpret the dream for him, but they could not without knowing the dream. Daniel was able to pray and receive revelation from God about the dream. He interpreted that the dream depicted four successive world empires represented by parts of a statue, and that a stone cut without hands would destroy them and establish God's eternal kingdom. Nebuchadnezzar was greatly impressed by Daniel's ability to interpret the dream and elevated his status.
A background look at the person (Daniel) and the circumstances surrounding his exile from Jerusalem to Babylon as well as a first description of the dream that forms the basis for Daniel’s prophecies.
King Nebuchadnezzar has a dream that troubles him, but he cannot remember the dream. He demands that his magicians and wise men tell him both the dream and its interpretation. When they are unable to do so, he decrees that they should all be killed. Daniel is able to interpret the king's dream, saving the lives of the wise men. The king's dream foretells four successive world empires, and Daniel explains that the dream reveals that God controls the rise and fall of nations. The king is greatly impressed by Daniel's wisdom and ability, and appoints him to a high position in Babylon.
The document discusses how Daniel and his friends were able to stand firm in their faith despite being captives in Babylon. It describes how they refused to compromise their principles by only eating vegetables and drinking water. As a result, they appeared healthier than those who ate the king's food. Daniel and his friends excelled in wisdom and knowledge, impressing King Nebuchadnezzar. Their ability to stand before the king came from standing daily before the Most High God.
The document describes events surrounding Daniel during the reigns of King Belshazzar and King Darius. During Belshazzar's rule, God supernaturally writes a message on the palace wall that only Daniel can interpret, predicting Belshazzar's downfall. Belshazzar is killed that night and Darius takes the kingdom. Daniel rises to a high position under Darius but also faces persecution as his enemies trick Darius into outlawing prayer to any god but himself. Daniel continues praying and is thrown into the lion's den but survives unharmed, demonstrating God's protection of Daniel.

Daniel served King Darius loyally as a chief minister. Other ministers grew jealous of Daniel and tried to find fault with him but could find none. They convinced the king to issue a decree making prayer illegal except to the king for 30 days, knowing Daniel would disobey. Daniel continued praying openly and was thrown into the lions' den as punishment. However, God protected Daniel, who was unharmed. The king then threw Daniel's accusers into the den, and they were killed. The king declared Daniel's God as supreme.
This document provides historical context surrounding the book of Daniel in the Bible. It describes how Nebuchadnezzar conquered Jerusalem in 605 BC and took young Jews like Daniel as captives to Babylon. Daniel refused to eat the king's food, but God gave him favor with the chief official. The document then summarizes key events and visions described in Daniel chapters 1-4 and 7, including Nebuchadnezzar's madness and the vision of four beasts representing future empires. A chronology of kings of Babylon from Nebuchadnezzar to the fall of Babylon to Persia in 539 BC is also provided.
Daniel and his friends refused to defile themselves by eating the king's food and wine, instead requesting a vegetarian diet. When threatened with death for disobeying the king's command to worship his idol, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego told the king they would not serve his gods even if it meant death. They survived being thrown into a fiery furnace, causing the king to praise their God.
1) Daniel was appointed by King Darius to be one of three administrators over 120 satraps ruling the kingdom. Daniel's excellent qualities threatened the other administrators.
2) Unable to find faults with Daniel, the administrators convinced the king to pass a decree making prayer illegal for 30 days except to the king, knowing Daniel prayed to his God daily.
3) Daniel continued praying openly and was thrown into the lions' den as punishment. However, God protected Daniel and he was unharmed. The conspirators and their families were killed by the lions instead.
Feb.21.2016 -Sunday Message - Fasting the Daniel WayCatherine Lirio
1. Daniel and his friends fasted from the king's food and wine at Babylon for 10 days to test if a vegetarian diet from God would make them healthier.
2. God blessed their acceptable fasting with godly character, 10 times better understanding than magicians, good health, and success before the king.
3. The Daniel Fast involves 3 levels - sheep (no meat/soft drinks), deer (half usual rice intake), and lion (veggies/fruits only). Our 90DC fasting is March 1-30 to fast for our 12 habits success, personal requests, and conquest.
The document provides an overview and analysis of Daniel Chapter 1. It summarizes that Daniel and his friends were taken captive to Babylon where Daniel resolved not to defile himself by eating the king's food. God gave Daniel and his friends superior knowledge and understanding. Though in a foreign land, Daniel remained faithful to God and was used greatly to interpret dreams and visions. The document examines themes of living faithfully in a pagan culture and how God can use people in significant ways beyond what they imagine.
March 5 2017 - Sunday Service Message - Pray like Daniel to OvercomeCatherine Lirio
1. Daniel was an overcomer who faced many trials through prayer.
2. Daniel prayed three times a day with thanksgiving as was his custom, showing deep intimacy with God and humility.
3. Daniel's prayer life of worship and gratitude helped him overcome betrayal, injustice, fear and compromise through his faith in God.
1) King Belshazzar of Babylon held a feast where he and his nobles drank wine from gold goblets that had been taken from the temple in Jerusalem.
2) That night a disembodied hand appeared and wrote a mysterious message on the palace wall that none of the king's wise men could interpret.
3) The prophet Daniel was summoned and interpreted the writing as a divine message that Babylon's days were numbered and would fall to the Medes and Persians that very night, which came to pass when Belshazzar was killed.
Perception of a Pagan Playing Pious
I. Refuse to Give God Glory.
II. Acknowledges the Wrong One.
III. Offer God’s Honor to Man.
IV. Their Ploy is Prestige over Power.
Plotting your influence for God is a failure.
Conclusion:
1) The document discusses how to properly confront others about sin or wrongdoing in a loving manner.
2) It emphasizes that one must establish trust and become significant in another's life before confrontation.
3) Confrontation should be done with the goal of restoration, not punishment, and with caution, humility and compassion.

Paganism and Catholicism: The Mother-Son Sun Worship System Maikel
This document summarizes how Catholicism has elevated Mary to a level equivalent to pagan goddesses, which is not supported by biblical scripture. It argues that Catholic traditions such as priests acting as mediators between people and God, and the veneration of Mary as sinless and assumed into heaven, mirror the roles of pagan priesthoods and mother goddesses. The document asserts that Catholic doctrines have placed Mary in positions that belong solely to Jesus Christ as redeemer, mediator and advocate, according to the Bible.
There are a number of problems with the Big Bang theory. It ought to be pointed out, at this point, that it is not only creationists who have problems with the Big Bang theory. The theory is not universally accepted. For example, the physicist Eric Lerner has described himself as a Big Bang heretic, and has written a book and a website on the subject.
One very large problem with the theory is its inability to determine where the singularity came from.
In 1979, the US public health service called smoking "the largest single preventable cause of illness and premature death in the United States." Tobacco is the only legal product in the US that, when used correctly, kills one out of every four of those who use it. Tobacco is responsible for the death of over 450,000 Americans per year—more than all who die from AIDS, illicit drugs, fires, car crashes, and homicides combined.

In the last century, signs and wonders have appeared more and more in connection with the Catholic Church.
Throughout the centuries of Rome's existence, the popes have regularly claimed to be divine. As the supposed successor of Peter, the Pope claims infallibility, the position of God on Earth, and ability to judge and excommunicate angels.
The Catholic Council of Trent in 1545 declared this:
We define that the Holy Apostolic See and the Roman Pontiff hold primacy over the whole world.
The document examines whether Christianity and rock music are compatible based on an analysis of statements from rock musicians and the fruits of the rock industry. It finds that rock musicians like Blacky Lawless and Little Richard see rock as expressing pure hostility and aggression or being demonic. The document also notes that early rock icons like Jerry Lee Lewis, Elvis Presley, and Little Richard struggled with their Christian faith due to issues in the rock industry like drug abuse, occultism, and idolatry. Based on these findings, the document concludes that the fruits of rock music are not compatible with Christianity.

This document provides evidence for why the Bible can be fully trusted. It discusses how the Bible claims to be inspired by God, how Jesus demonstrated His confidence in Scripture, how Bible prophecies have been fulfilled, how scientific and historical statements have been proven accurate, how biblical principles are relevant today, and how the Bible has changed lives. It examines over 125 prophecies about Jesus that were fulfilled, arguing this couldn't have happened by chance. The document asserts the Bible's unity and inspiration are confirmed by its profound impact on society.

Daniel answered and said, Blessed be the

and might are his:
21
And he changeth the times and the seasons:
he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he
giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge

unto him; Destroy not the wise men of

27
Daniel answered in the presence of the king,
and said, The secret which the king hath
demanded cannot the wise men, the
astrologers, the magicians, the soothsayers,
shew unto the king;
28
But there is a God in heaven that revealeth
secrets, and maketh known to the king
Nebuchadnezzar what shall be in the latter
days. Thy dream, and the visions of thy head
upon thy bed, are these;
29
As for thee, O king, thy thoughts came into
thy mind upon thy bed, what should come to
pass hereafter: and he that revealeth secrets
maketh known to thee what shall come to

30
But as for me, this secret is not revealed to
me for any wisdom that I have more than any
living, but for their sakes that shall make
known the interpretation to the king, and that
thou mightest know the thoughts of thy heart.
31
Thou, O king, sawest, and behold a great
image. This great image, whose brightness
was excellent, stood before thee; and the form
thereof was terrible.
32
This image's head was of fine gold, his
breast and his arms of silver, his belly and his
thighs of brass,
33
His legs of iron, his feet part of iron and part

34
Thou sawest till that a stone was cut out

his feet that were of iron and clay, and brake
them to pieces.
