Daniel has a vision of four beasts representing four kingdoms that will arise. A little horn power arises and persecutes the saints for a time, times, and half a time (1260 years). Judgment is then given in favor of the saints. The prophecies point to the time of the end and are unsealed by Adventism after 1844. Daniel is troubled by the vision but keeps it to ponder its meaning.
