Nebuchadnezzar was the most famous and important king of the Second Babylonian Empire who restored religious monuments and improved infrastructure projects. He was the first Babylonian king to rule Egypt and controlled a vast empire, but is best known for building the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. After dreaming of being driven insane, Daniel interpreted the dream as a prophecy that would come true if Nebuchadnezzar remained proud, which later occurred when he was driven insane for seven years until humbling himself before God.
