HISTORY Wadud Sons started as retail store back in 1971,by a local businessman, Hamid Wadud The operation were initiated on a very small scale in a 50 square feet store located at main sadder.
In 1987, there was a major expansion, expanded to 4000 sq feet. The second major expansion took place in 2001expanded to area of 1000 sq feet.
A very timely diversification took place in November 2003 when a new branch was opened at PDA Complex,Hayatabad.
Apart from the routine items offered,Wadud Sons H-Mart offers a wide variety of grocery. Last but not the least, a shop adjacent to Wadud Sons, Sadder was acquired, now its named as Wadud Sons Shoe Box.
The waduds used to own a wool store in Qissa khawni bazar that was once the business Hub of Peshawar.
From the wool store in the early 50s. Waduds had made a very good reputation in the market.
Since then if we have a look at them and compare it over the time, today Wadud Group stands amongst the tallest businesses of the province.
MISHAP The store was operating profitably and was progressing by leaps and bounds until a mishap took place on 22 nd December 1995.
There was a bomb attack in the store as a result of some terrorist activity. A significant damage that happened related to store was the death of the founder of the store.
As a result of these two mishaps ,the store suffered a lot performance wise, dropped almost to where it stood several years ago.
After extensive planning and putting all the pieces together, the store started operating again on October 13,1996.
However, under the new management ,the store started taking up pace and as is evident now, has successfully captured the garments market more strongly than before
