George W. Bush was born in 1946 in New Haven, Connecticut and moved to Texas in 1948. He attended Phillips Academy and Yale University, then worked in the oil industry and owned the Texas Rangers baseball team. Bush served as Governor of Texas from 1995 to 2000, during which time he oversaw the execution of 152 prisoners. He later became the 43rd President of the United States from 2001 to 2009.
