Volleyball is a sport played by two teams of six players each. It involves hitting a ball back and forth over a net using hands and forearms. The objective is to ground the ball on the opponent's side before it touches the ground three times. Filipinos contributed the technique of setting and spiking ("bomba") in 1916. A regulation volleyball court is 18m by 9m and the net is 2.43m high for men and 2.24m high for women.
