Singh, Shirah, and Barber Financial Holdings LLC., has drastically increased the number of clients and accounts over the past couple of years. This growth prompted the need for more qualified staff, additional offices and space, and newer communication technologies to facilitate services and improved management. The firm has acquired several buildings in various cities which are ready to be outfitted with network infrastructure, user workstations, peripherals and software applications. 1.2 Challenges
With just one present location in XYZ city growth in its industry is challenging, therefore the opening of several branch locations in various cities coupled with the data migration to a cloud service has become its number one project. The firm’s current infrastructure is limited, it does not currently have a full scale WAN and remote access (VPN), only a local LAN through the major local ISP is employed. All backups are stored onsite with tape copies sent to a cold off site location. Databases with all financial information are stored in the local server and there are no true access control restrictions. Additionally, there is only one system administrator performing all major database tasks and network functions.
Financial health is one of the most protected types of digital content. Finding ways to store, secure, and manage such data in this ever changing world of computing is a challenge. In order for the firm to grow and blossom, a large and fast LAN/WAN network is needed. Such network must provide access to internal resources via secure methods of authentication and also from the outside by a secure web interface client. VPN capabilities for traveling and visiting staff should provide a secure connection to internal resources. Access to the network and network shares must be tightly secured based on departmental roles. All databases will be kept in separate servers and backups will be conducted routinely (Weekly, Monthly; incremental/full). Access to database tables will be based on individual approval; single sign on authenti.

We all have good and bad thoughts from time to time and situation to situation. We are bombarded daily with spiraling thoughts(both negative and positive) creating all-consuming feel , making us difficult to manage with associated suffering. Good thoughts are like our Mob Signal (Positive thought) amidst noise(negative thought) in the atmosphere. Negative thoughts like noise outweigh positive thoughts. These thoughts often create unwanted confusion, trouble, stress and frustration in our mind as well as chaos in our physical world. Negative thoughts are also known as “distorted thinking”.
The Roman Empire A Historical Colossus.pdfkaushalkr1407
The Roman Empire, a vast and enduring power, stands as one of history's most remarkable civilizations, leaving an indelible imprint on the world. It emerged from the Roman Republic, transitioning into an imperial powerhouse under the leadership of Augustus Caesar in 27 BCE. This transformation marked the beginning of an era defined by unprecedented territorial expansion, architectural marvels, and profound cultural influence.
The empire's roots lie in the city of Rome, founded, according to legend, by Romulus in 753 BCE. Over centuries, Rome evolved from a small settlement to a formidable republic, characterized by a complex political system with elected officials and checks on power. However, internal strife, class conflicts, and military ambitions paved the way for the end of the Republic. Julius Caesar’s dictatorship and subsequent assassination in 44 BCE created a power vacuum, leading to a civil war. Octavian, later Augustus, emerged victorious, heralding the Roman Empire’s birth.
Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. Augustus reformed the military, established efficient administrative systems, and initiated grand construction projects. The empire's borders expanded, encompassing territories from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to the Euphrates. Roman legions, renowned for their discipline and engineering prowess, secured and maintained these vast territories, building roads, fortifications, and cities that facilitated control and integration.
The Roman Empire’s society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. These engineering marvels not only showcased Roman ingenuity but also served practical purposes, from public entertainment to water supply.

3. PROLEM STATEMENT
UEM Edgenta has been living through an exciting phase of its life, growing nonstop and
facing many challenges at the same time. Some of these challenges are relatively new
others are as old as the industry itself.
There are several different approaches. For example, sometimes slow technology adoption
rates are treated as a single big challenge, and sometimes it is treated as a multitude of
different problems including :
1. Communication problems.
2. Managing your documentation
3. Issues with cash flow
4. Loss of productivity
5. Lack of product traceability
6. Poor resource utilization, management
4. 4
4
PROLEM STATEMENT
SPI AWPB Asset
• Communication problems.
A surprisingly high percentage of problems within project is directly related to the lack of faster communication between
different teams and departments. This is another massive problem that is easily solvable by modern-day technology in
multiple ways.
• Managing your documentation.
It’s no surprise that construction generally has a lot of documentation to deal with be it contracts, receipts, insurance
certificates and material orders. Dealing with all that regularly makes the entire process of document management slower
and more prone to human error.
• Issues with cash flow.
Funds management is a surprisingly common problem for many construction companies, and the number of issues that this
can spawn is also impressive. As a construction company, you have to have free cash to pay for several things on a semi-
regular basis. This list includes payments to subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, your employees, and so on.
5. 5
5
PROLEM STATEMENT
SPI AWPB Asset
• Loss of productivity.
UEM involves too many resources, tools for a project, and lack of real-time data hurts the overall productivity rate
significantly. Manually updating each and every process data consumes a lot of time and there is always a possibility of data
mismatch or inaccuracy too.
• Poor resource utilization, management.
Construction projects involve a lot of workforce and materials for every project and the biggest challenge is utilizing every
resource/equipment sensibly. With a lot of money invested in the resources, managing them poorly turns out to be
exorbitant. The challenge is due to the lack of data and visibility across the project zone. With the only means of
communication between the workforce and leaders is through manual channels more pronounced, resource management
suffers further.
• Lack of product traceability.
This is another huge challenge that potentially delays the project completion. Tracking material movement for any project
from the procurement stage to the disposal stage is often tiresome and backbreaking. Performing this task manually really
eats the time of the workforce, resulting in delayed overall equipment effectiveness and performance tracking.
6. 6
PORPOSED SOLUTION
SPI AWPB Asset
Communication problems.
RAMS can be used to make the communication process that much faster be it via emails, regular messages, or even using various
construction-related apps.
This can easily prevent most of the more minor problems in the project before they become more prominent and harder to deal with. And
it’s also one more example of technology bringing massive potential benefits to the companies. On the topic of technologies, we’re missing
one more major field of work with the same potential solution.
7. 7
PORPOSED SOLUTION
SPI AWPB Asset
• Managing your documentation.
UEM work primarily paperless. There are many different systems and solutions that can help with RAMS document
management in many ways be it categorization, due dates, project deadlines, and more.

10. 10
PORPOSED SOLUTION
SPI AWPB Asset
Loss of productivity.
Digitalizing the complex processes with RAMS applications enables the workforce to perform tasks like equipment checklist,
raw materials involved, tools used, and project status data to the immediate reporting head on the go without any
discomfort. This saves their time and motivates them to perform and deliver better.
RAMS help project heads and workforce with the applications and enables the clients, CEOs or managers to view the
complete project data in a centralized dashboard. The real-time data enables the leaders to make faster and better
decisions with regards to the existing and new project planning and budgeting.
11. 11
PORPOSED SOLUTION
SPI AWPB Asset
• Lack of product traceability.
ID code scanner for material movement tracking. Tracking assets with such systems lessens the hardship in identifying the
materials in inventory, project zone and helps employees monitor, track and utilize the assets wisely for any project. This is
turn saves time and money for the company.

15. LIMITATION & CONSTRAINT
Digital transformation in the industry is not straightforward though. Adoption can be fragmented Digital
transformation is a big undertaking for any business.
The perceived risks, challenges, and costs of adopting new technology, moving away from legacy systems,
training employees, and potentially transforming your business model are often enough to dissuade business
owners from even getting started. there can be considerable cost, time and effort involved in making
changes.
16. CHALLENGE AND PROBLMS
Resistance to change: Employees may be resistant to change, particularly if they are not
comfortable with technology or are used to traditional ways of working.
High costs: Implementing digital transformation can be expensive, requiring investments in

31. CURRENT SYSTEM/PROCESS.
• Manual Drafting.
- Construction plans were drawn manually. This process was time-consuming and required a high
level of skill.
• Physical Document Management.
- Use physical files for storing important documents such as contracts, blueprints, and permits.
• On-Site Communication.
- Communication between different parties involved in a construction project (like architects,
engineers, and construction workers) was often done in person or via phone calls.
• Manual Project Management.
- Manual methods such as Gantt charts and face-to-face meetings. This made it difficult to track
progress in real-time.
• On-Site Inspections.
- Quality control and safety inspections were carried out on-site by human inspectors. This process
was often slow and could miss potential issues.

47. CHAPTER 4 PROJECT BUDGET AND COSTING
• Project Budget
Project budgeting is a critical aspect of project management as it helps in forecasting the expected expenses
required to complete a project.
This process requires a thorough assessment of the tasks, duration, and resources needed to deliver a task and
anticipating the costs associated with it.
A project budget involves estimating the costs for each activity, which includes labor, materials, equipment, and
other expenses. The closer the estimate is to the actual cost of a project, the more likely spending will stay within
the budget once the project starts.
To create a project budget, a project manager needs to identify all the activities required to complete the project
and then estimate the cost of each activity. This estimation can be done in several ways, including historical data
analysis, expert judgment, and parametric estimating.
48. CHAPTER 5 CONCLUSION
The construction industry is currently experiencing a significant shift towards digital transformation, with emerging technologies such as
Building Information Modelling (BIM), drones, and the Internet of Things (IoT) revolutionizing how construction projects are planned,
executed, and monitored.
One of the key trends driving this transformation is the adoption of smart construction technologies. These technologies use data and
technology to optimize construction processes and improve efficiency. For instance, wearable devices can be used to monitor the health
and
safety of workers, while sensors can be used to track the movement of materials and equipment. Additionally, AI-powered software can
be used to analyze data and identify patterns and anomalies, which can help construction teams make more informed decisions in real-
time. Overall, the adoption of these smart construction technologies is helping to improve productivity, safety, and sustainability in the
construction industry. By leveraging data and technology, construction teams can work smarter, not harder, leading to better outcomes
for everyone involved.
