Modify revenue reporting program to reflect revenue from
excessive internet usage by creating new GL entry for
excessive usage from high speed internet products.
Consolidation deactivation initiative (R608):
There is a system limitation that is preventing consolidated
accounts from being deconsolidated and cancelled in V21 after
the services are deactivated in SGI. This causes the account to
continue to age and bill revenue (late payment charges) in
some instances breaching Sarbanes Oxley requirements
causing a customer satisfaction issue and delaying the
assignment to agencies. This limitation also has an impact on
Loss Prevention’s fraud reporting and write-offs.
National courier fulfilment improvement program (R308):
The cable courier program is introduced as a method of
fulfilment to meet operational and fulfilment expectations. With
the growing demand for Rogers Cable products and services
and the advancements in self installation (plug and play) of
hardware, the existing manual process is unable to
accommodate the present and forecasted volumes in future to
be fulfilled through this channel. This project attempts to
improve the existing courier processes by tightening up the
rules surrounding courier order entry and proof of delivery.
Fido no worries aka Rusty (R108):
This project is intended to enhance customer experience and
provide the call centre with a tool for customer satisfaction. This
tool will help to provide customers with a best plan advice in a
proactive way, instead of being reactive to a customer
dissatisfaction regarding his/her bill.
Speed Button (R1107):
This project will provide a web portal means for RY! I customers
to sign up for a temporary increase in speed tier, at no cost,
and to verify this speed change using a speed test web utility.
The purposes are to:
• Allow customers to sample the superior Rogers speed
tiers.
• Generate revenue by up-selling RY! I customers from
lower to higher speed tiers.
• Increase customer loyalty by providing higher speeds
on occasions when needed.
Release 707 projects:
6 Digit to 8 Digit IMEI conversion:
The IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) prefixes are
used as identifiers for GSM handsets. With growing number of

handsets use, industry had to expand the IMEI prefix to
accommodate more handsets. The current industry standard
that is issued to the manufactures is six digits IMEI Prefix.
These are used as identifiers for handsets available for Rogers
and Fido. The objective of this project is to change all systems
that use Vision 21 to use the eight digits IMEI prefixes for
reporting and activation of handsets.
RHP user name maintenance for bill presentation:
This project aims in introducing a formal system process to
update customer name associated to a Rogers Home Phone
(RHP) line for bill presentation. This will ensure a common
procedure that is required to be followed by the Call Centre
Customer Service Consultants (CSC). This will ultimately
increase the consistency in the service that is provided to the
customers.
Suppression of payment return envelope:
This project will suppress all payment return envelops (BRE)
from being sent with customer invoices to those customers that
regularly pay by payment sources that do not require a BRE.
Release 607 project:
Online billing phase2:
For Rogers to increasingly benefit from online billing Rogers
has to maximize the availability of its’ online bill through multiple
channels (i.e. rogers.com, online banking, epost.ca) as well as
provide enhanced Online Billing Presentment & Payment
functionality to ensure that customers’ increased expectations
are met and exceeded.
