Validity, Credibility, and Reliability
What are some reasons you might consider data or information to lack
validity, credibility, or reliability? First one should understand why validity,
credibility, and reliability is very important elements in proper research and
giving informative information. Understanding that given outdated
information and not being able to justify your information effectively will
make you seem logical and not knowledgeable on the situation. If you
want someone to take your work and your research serious you have to be
serious about it. If you choose to give feedback on your personal views on
the topic then you should state that it is your personal views and show your
reasons for making that decision. This would not discredit your thoughts
and feelings however if you’re going to prove that you are knowledgeable
you should show why your information is reliable and credible. By going
through the proper steps and researching, and citing individuals that have
the correct data shows you value your work and have high standards for
the information you were sharing. This makes your information more
valuable because you value your findings and research. This also shows
that you respect your audience enough to give them accurate, reliable, and
truthful information in a timely manner. You can gain respect from your

audience by doing so. A person that is only tells you their views would
appear to be biased to a reader. Sharing only partial information is almost
like telling half the truth. If someone likes credible information they will only
tell you how they feel about a topic and put it in their own words. Not given
references to the places that they find that are credible so that the original

Majority of places that are organizations and research development
institutions and also government will show their work and cite the authors
concerning the matter. This is because their name is not to be held
accountable for not properly informing people. The person that would like to
keep their name our organization’s reputation in good standing will have
higher standards in the information that they support.
In conclusion while understanding that vitality, credibility and reliability
is very important to readers authors and writers should also value the same
standards.
