VTU has launched
the award of
MOOC Courses(
Honours, Minors,
Certification
Courses and Skill
Enhancement
Courses) degree
programmes.
It has been
framed in
pursuance of the
provisions for this
qualification in
AICTE model
curriculum for
undergraduate
programmes in
Engineering and
Technology.
In adopting these
provisions, the
University has
taken steps to
ensure that the
quality and
standard of the
Degree awards
are not
compromised in
any way, and
they continue to
be maintained at
a high level.

entry students should

CGPA>=7.5 at the end
of 4th semester.
5. The B.Sc. Lateral entry
should have completed
the Engineering
Graphics in 4th semester
in first attempt only.
6. Elements of Civil
Engineering of first year
Engineering programme
should complete by the
end of 4th sem in first
attempt only.

9. The program focuses on the fundamental principles of Multiple
Engineering disciplines.
They build ability to solve critical and analytical thinking to develop a
distinctive approach to interdisciplinary problems.
To enhance employability skills and impart deep knowledge in emerging areas
that are usually not being covered in undergraduate Degree framework AICTE
has come up with the concept of “Minor Degree” in emerging areas.

A Student can opt for
B.E./ B.Tech., degree
with a Minor program
if she/ he has
permissible backlogs
till the 3rd sem at the
time of registration is
allowed
The minimum CGPA
required to maintain
up to 3rd semester at the
time of registration and
onward up to
completing the core
degree program is
>=5.0
A CGPA of >=5.0 has
to be maintained in the
subsequent semesters
without any backlog in
order to keep the
Minor’s registration
active.
If failed to maintain
the CGPA>=5.0 then,
the registartion will be
cancelled automatically
and no separate/
individual
communication to the
college/student will be
made by university.

Online Programmes
are made available
in official VTU
portal
There is only
examination fee for
PG students , there
is no registration
fee for PG students .
According to
curriculum, PG
students of VTU are
required to take the
online courses
approved by BoS in
the 1st and 2nd
semesters.

you are enrolled will be
in My Learning, You can
start accessing the course
content by clicking on

Click on Enroll the

17. For Certification
courses there is no
eligibility Criteria.
Other than the VTU
University students
Outside students
can take the
Certification
Courses.
For other students,
completion of the
Certification
courses Certificate
will be given by
VTU.
The courses are also
open to students
and Faculty who
like to take a
Courses.

18. 1. Skill Enhancement Courses
are available at

2. Each course is of 03 credits
with 30 hours of teaching
learning. More courses will
be added soon to existing
basket.
3. The students who have
missed (remain absent) for
Internship-I and II may take
up courses made available as
per point 1.

19. 4. The lateral entry students
are also eligible to take up
these courses in place of
Internship I and II.
5. Any students who are
interested in enhancing their
skills can also take up these
courses.
6. It is advised to staff
coordinator to complete one or
two courses for guiding the
studies who are taking up
these courses.
