Frogs begin their life cycle as eggs covered in jelly, which hatch into tadpoles. Tadpoles live in the water and breathe through gills, using their tails to swim. They later grow lungs and legs while their tails are reabsorbed, allowing them to live on land as adult frogs ready to lay more eggs and continue the cycle.
