This document discusses two examples of virtual learning spaces created through international collaboration: 1) The Omega virtual learning space at the University of Zagreb's Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences which uses Moodle and has over 4,850 students and 600 courses. Popular features include uploading resources, assignments, forums, and quizzes. 2) The BISER virtual learning space at the University of Sarajevo's Faculty of Philosophy which also uses Moodle and has over 140 students, 19 teachers, and 30 courses. The most used modules are resources, forums, and assignments. Both spaces were created through international projects to encourage active learning, lifelong learning, and respond to
