Currently working for the Food Safety Authority as a Data Analyst in a 6 month contract role. Looking for
an interesting role to further develop my skills. Expert in Business Intelligence, from five years consultant
experience with Oracle products (Certified Oracle Essbase 11g Implementation Specialist). Considerable
skills in many other areas including adding VBA macros to Microsoft Office products and writing T-SQL
queries.

front end products like Excel Add Ins, Smartview etc and longer (Boot camp) courses training
advanced users in more technical products like Essbase usually over several days.
◊ Internal Training: Trained staff in house and on site with support. This enabled new graduates
to quickly become consultants of a level where clients were happy to pay for their skills.
◊ Sales: Prepared demonstrations for projects valued in millions of Euro, often using the potential
customer’s data to demonstrate Codec-DSS could meet expectations (Proof of Concept) and
also proposing alternative solutions.
◊ General Consulting: Used all my skills to resolve customer issues, correcting problems or

Financial Systems Analyst G.E. Money (Finance), Golden Lane, Dublin 8. Jan ‘05–Nov ‘08, made
Redundant. Database Administrator for Finance department’s new Essbase system
◊ Ensured that all processes ran in a timely fashion, reducing month end process from several
days to hours while still confirming it produced accurate data. The business requirements were
then changed requiring several updates a month, which were always met.
◊ Added to Essbase system by writing Excel VBA macros, saving considerable time for staff in
Finance. Received management award for this work.
◊ Resolved all issues in Essbase, Excel, VBA, AS400, Decision Desktop (GUI front end) and ADL
(Data Integrator), using my expertise in these systems.
◊ Frequently called upon as an advanced business user of Excel to resolve issues for Finance
staff and other staff from all levels throughout the business, 100% success rate.
◊ As part of the implementation team requirements were analysed and recommendations made
for installing a million Euro+ valued system. Ensured business needs were met with the most
efficiency, leading to a considerable reduction in the process times and storage requirements.
◊ Worked with IT department designing and testing the processes to load the required data from
source systems to new Essbase solution, resolving issues to reduce development time.
◊ Developed and applied new skills to design user-friendly front-end screens that were interactive

Management Information Specialist G.E. Money (Operations), Golden Lane, Dublin 8. Oct 1999 - Dec
2002. Designed Management Information Spreadsheets (Dashboards)
◊ Used many systems to produce up to date, useful and accurate spreadsheets (Dashboards) that
were used by Senior Management. This was the start of Business Intelligence in the Operations
department.
◊ Wrote queries on various systems (AS400, Meridian Max and Crystal), and used MS Access,
Excel and Excel VBA to collate business data.
◊ Analysed the information from these sources presenting the relevant data in detailed reports to
various levels of management within the company, always meeting business deadlines.
◊ Examined processes within the business and designed improvements including Customer
Complaints Resolution Process (CCRP) and the use of electronic document imaging in the
business. Applied the recently gained “Six Sigma” and “Black Belt” skills to these projects.
◊ Arranged and facilitated monthly CCRP meeting with Directors, Managers and Staff, to obtain
commitment to change procedures to reduce complaints.
