vILT (Virtual Instructor Led Training)
Virtual instructor-led training (vILT) can save costs compared to in-person training by eliminating expenses for travel, hotels, and meals. It allows instructors to "bring the classroom to your laptop." To keep learners engaged in vILT, instructors should use the tools at their disposal like chat, annotations, and webcams. Creating a vILT is similar to baking - the right tools need to be added at the right times. Instructors should have backup plans and keep the content simple. Engaging activities like games, breakout rooms, and whiteboards can also help learners stay involved.
