Video resumes and profiles are becoming more common as employers turn to online resources to find candidates. 90% of resumes all look the same, while video content gives candidates a way to showcase their personality and fit for a company culture. 89% of employers surveyed said they would watch video resumes. A survey found that video interviews that can be done from home create more opportunity for both employers and job seekers.

Training for Success: Balancing Compliance and Professional DevelopmentBizLibrary
Professionals within the banking and financial services industries are aware that the industry is in a constant state of change. The Art of Making Engaging and Effective Learning VideosAggregage
In this webinar, Joseph Suarez will break down the craft, the art, and the science, of video production and reveal how to leverage the production process to create engaging learning videos of all types and sizes.
Video interviewing allows candidates to record responses to interview questions online at their convenience. It reduces costs and improves time-to-hire compared to in-person interviews. While it does not replace face-to-face interviews, video interviewing is growing in popularity with employers and addresses misconceptions about replacing personal contact or causing bias. It provides benefits like increased efficiency, reduced travel expenses, and a better candidate experience overall.
The document proposes solutions to the problem of employers, graduates, and job seekers needing a trusted platform to showcase opportunities and people.
Approach 1 suggests training more real-world skills in high school and university through case studies, lectures, and businesses sending representatives. Approach 2 proposes an online video-based marketplace where employers and job seekers in the UK can post videos to offer and apply for jobs, allowing feedback.
Prototypes were created, with feedback indicating video screening worked well but search and filtering needed improvement. User stories and photos depict the envisioned platform allowing profiles, video posts, searching, feedback, and application between employers and job seekers.
Paul Rouke, Head of Usability at PRWD, talks at the Internet Retailing Conference 2011 on both the importance of usability testing to businesses along with comparing the process and type of insights that moderated and remote usability testing delivers

Tips For Developing A Successful Remote Interview ProcessAbishAlathukattil
After 2020, the global workforce shifted from prioritizing traditional interview practices to conducting remote interviews. And we all are aware that an in-person interview is vastly different from conducting interviews via Google meet or telephone. Therefore, when hiring a remote worker for a remote position, hiring managers and recruiters want to ensure that the recruitment process is as effective as possible and the company is hiring the best talent for themselves. Let’s take a look at some tips for developing a successful remote interview process that will get the best candidates for your company.
What is a ‘fandidate’?
The people that apply to work for you are usually those that know your organisation, like your brand, and use your products or services. This provides an opportunity to win ‘fandidates’.
A fandidate is a candidate who has been through a selection process with you and is still a fan irrespective of the outcome.
Training on harassment and discrimination prevention is critical to set clear rules and to establish important legal protections. But to remain competitive in today’s diverse and global workplace, organizations must also focus on their culture, and the ability of employees to effectively collaborate. In a diverse workplace, even subtle personal differences (including those not protected by employment laws) impact employee productivity and engagement.
This interactive webinar will be a live, guided demo of ELT’s new online Diversity & Inclusion training course for managers and employees. We will cover how diversity training supports business and cultural goals, discuss the benefits of training beyond legal compliance, and provide a practical overview of diversity training best practices.

Let’s Start With The Problem
What is discrimination?
Discrimination in the hiring process
occurs when candidates are rejected
based off qualities other than
qualifications and experience.
6. What is Discrimination?
What is the EEOC?
The EEOC stands for Equal
Employment Opportunity
Commission.
The EEOC was founded in 1965
thanks to the advances made by the
Civil Rights Movement.
The EEOC is meant to protect
employees and candidates from
discrimination in the workplace and
the hiring process.
7. What is Discrimination?
What Characteristics Does the EEOC Cover?
The EEOC protects candidates from discrimination based on the
following characteristics:
Race
Color
Religion
Sex/Gender (including pregnancy and sexual orientation)
National origin
Age (40 or older)
Disability
Retaliation (employees cannot be retaliated against for reporting
discrimination)
8. What is Discrimination?
How Common is Discrimination?
We’ve come a long way, but we still have a long way
to go when it comes to discrimination.
Facts:
In 1997, there were 80,680
discrimination charges.
In 2011, there were 99,947 charges.
The most charges in 2011 were for
retaliation, race, and sex/gender.

candidate’s personality will fit into the
company.

technology is completely
compliant with hiring guidelines.

13. Video and Discrimination
The EEOC’s decision
When asked in 2004 they said:
Employers and recruiters [should]
continue to structure their
recruitment and selection
processes to be nondiscriminatory
and to consistently focus on the job
qualifications of all job seekers,
regardless of technology or of
the information available by
virtue of that technology.
14. Video and Discrimination
The EEOC’s decision
When asked again in 2010 they
said:
The EEO laws do not expressly
prohibit the use of specific
technologies or methods for
selecting employees, and
therefore do not prohibit the use of
video resumes.
15. Video and Discrimination
Videos Don’t Discriminate
So we see the EEOC doesn’t consider
video technology any more discriminatory
than traditional hiring practices.
Online video technology does not
increase the likelihood of discrimination.
After all, video doesn’t discriminate:
people do!
16. Avoid Discrimination
How To Avoid Discrimination in Hiring
Videos don’t discriminate, but people
do. So how can companies stay
compliant on the human side?
Tip: Stop blaming technology!
Technology can’t judge and videos
can’t discriminate.
Don’t blame your technology - look at
your company practices.
17. Avoid Discrimination

Tip: Keep questions standard.
When asking questions during a one way
or live video interview, ask a similar set of
questions.
Asking the same questions ensures no
discriminatory questions are asked.
18. Avoid Discrimination

Tip: Write down your evaluating criteria.
While video is the wave of the future,
writing down your evaluating criteria will
keep things clear.
Using the same set of written criteria to
judge all candidates will stop some from
getting preferential or discriminatory
treatment.
19. Avoid Discrimination
How To Avoid Discrimination in Hiring
Tip: Get training!
It’s important to be able to recognize
discrimination in the workplace and the
hiring process.
Employers should spring for in-house
training so employees and hiring
managers know to spot discriminatory
practices and stop them.
20. Avoid Discrimination
The Importance of Addressing Discrimination
All candidates should have the same
chance at an open position. Candidates
should be judged on their qualifications,
experience, and merits.
Implementing best practices will increase
employee morale and add to a positive
company reputation!
It can also reduce any legal costs by as
much as 50 percent.
