one of the
fields you can
see the
location
occupied by
that element
highlighted
by a blue
box, in visual
studio.
gasGridLayout: the layout default for this app has been designed using the Grid layout available in the
layouts file under the Palette bar.
Column Count: For this we set the layout width and height to fill parent so that the grid would occupy
the screen. We chose a column count of three to facilitate current features and can expand if future
modifications prove necessary.
ID: gasGridLayout
inputBoxLinearLayout: This section houses the MPG and Number of Stations numerical entry boxes.
The layout:width default is set to fill_parent for the purpose of occupying all column space available.
The layout:height default is set to 44dp to allow a large enough view of content without an over
consumption of space.
Orientation is horizontal and subject to change based on client feedback.
Gravity is set to center so that we have our ( 0, 0) centered on the screen within the layout manager.
ID is set to inputBoxLinearLayout.
Within our linear layout box we have two independent fields mpgLinearLayout and the
numStationsLinearLayout.
