The Venture Phenome Project aims to map the genetic and environmental factors that influence new venture success to increase efficiency. It will develop a standardized set of venture phenotypes to provide predictive analysis for investors and operational guidance for companies. The goal is to increase the efficiency of creating new ventures and jobs by 500% by understanding the key factors that determine venture outcomes. The project is launching in January 2009 to begin collecting and analyzing data on phenotypes to guide the innovation process.
