2. Primary heart field
Progenitor cells from epiblast migrate along primitve streak to reach
splanchlopleuric mesoderm.
They form atria , left ventricle and a part of right ventricle
3. Secondary heart field
Formed by migration of neural crest cells
Form the outflow and inflow tract of right ventricle
4. Formation and fusion of left and right heart tubes
Heart tube is divided into- BULBUS CORDIS, PRIMITIVE VENTRICLE,
PRIMITIVE ATRIA & SINUS VENOSUS
6. • A BULBOVENTRICULAR RIDGE separates
bulbus cordis and primitive ventricle which is
later hollowed.
• There is formation of constrictions between
other parts and further there is looping.
9. Inter ventricular septum
starts at about 6th week of Intra uterine life
Sources- 1. ventricular septum
2. proximal bulbar septum
3. septum intermedium
14. Septal cusp of tricuspid valve is attached to junction of
ventricular septum and septum intermedium.
The cranial part is termed atrioventricular septum
15. inflow tract
right ventricle
1. Proximal 1/3 of bulbus
cordis.
2. Right part of primitive
ventricle
left ventricle
left part of primitive
ventricle
18. Outflow tracts
Right ventricle
• Conus arteriosus
• Developed from
dextro-ventral or
right-anterior part of conus
cordis
Left ventricle
• Aortic vestibule
• Developed from
laevo-dorsal or left
posterior part of conus
cordis
