The Great Wall of China has a long history, beginning as separate walls constructed by different dynasties starting in the 7th century BC to protect against invaders. The Ming Dynasty rebuilt and connected existing walls between the 14th and 17th centuries, creating the structure seen today stretching over 13,000 miles. While its defensive purposes were not always effective, over 1 million workers lost their lives constructing it, and it has since become a major tourist attraction.
The Great Wall of China was built over centuries by dynasties starting in the 7th century BC to protect against invaders from the north. It stretches over 6,400 km and was constructed by connecting existing walls. The Ming Dynasty in the 14th-15th century saw the wall reach its maximum extent. Sections of the wall like Badaling and Mutianyu which are popular tourist destinations today were built or reinforced during the Ming Dynasty. The wall is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site but maintenance and protection could be improved.

The document discusses the giant cuttlefish species found along the coast of South Australia. It is the world's largest cuttlefish and can grow up to 50cm long and weigh over 10.5kg. It lives in caves and crevices along the coast and is curious around divers, often following those with bright colors. The population has declined 57% between 2001-2008 due to fishing in the area.
