1. Drawing 1de Beaufort<br />Value Gradation<br /> Assignment:<br />Following the in class demonstration, create value scales using all of your charcoal materials. You should mask each value strip using the scotch removable tape. Be sure to label each value scale with the material used. Your gradations should be smooth and without blemish. Be sure to provide ample room for the light grays, and do not fade off too suddenly.<br />This assignment, although seemingly tedious will give you an understanding of the various charcoal materials and the way in which they can be manipulated to achieve a wide range of tonal values and gradations.
