This document summarizes the USVI Energy Roadmap presented at an energy workshop on April 7-8, 2011. The roadmap aims to reduce the US Virgin Islands' dependence on fossil fuels by 60% by 2025. It analyzes different scenarios to achieve this goal through increased energy efficiency and use of renewable energy technologies. Key findings are that the goal can be achieved through collaborative efforts across stakeholders, prioritizing waste-to-energy, increased generation and water efficiency by the local utility company. Progress to date includes solar PV, solar water heaters, LED street lighting, and efficiency upgrades to schools and power generation facilities.
