1. The study aims to investigate how the expression level of the anti-apoptotic protein bcl-2 affects the threshold concentration of cytochrome c required to induce apoptosis. 2. Three cell populations with varying levels of bcl-2 expression will be treated with increasing concentrations of injected cytochrome c, and apoptosis will be measured using flow cytometry. 3. It is hypothesized that cells with higher bcl-2 expression will require higher concentrations of cytochrome c to trigger apoptosis compared to cells with lower bcl-2 expression, suggesting bcl-2 interacts with cytochrome c in the cytoplasm.
