MARPOL  Annex  I   BILGE  WATER   To  consider  when  designing  a  Bilge  water  system It  is  very  easy  to  get  the  MEPC.107(49)  Type  Approval  Cer<ficate!   The  test  standard  MEPC.107(49)  only  require  test  of  emulsified  bilge  water  for  2,5  hours.      !   Performance   Most  of  the  bilge  water  onboard  is  emulsified  due  to  the  use  of  different  chemicals  and  chemical  addiGves.  2   Can  the  separator  handle  chemical  emulsions  and  all  chemicals  onboard?   Ask  for  the  list  of  approved  chemicals  which  the  separator  can  handle!     Opera<onal  cost   What  is  the  operaGonal  cost  per  m3  treated  emulsified  bilge  water?       Including  the  costs  for  consumables  such  as  filter  elements  and  chemicals  and  pumping  ashore.     3   Worldwide  Service  network   Spare  parts,  service  AND  training  for  the  crew!   How  is  the  bilge  water  system  designed?   Is  the  system  properly  built  with  heaGng  and  seqling  tanks?  IBTS?   4   1   5
