5. What makes a great reviewer? • Have you attended prior UPA conferences? • Are you a UX professional or student? • Have you reviewed before for UPA or another UX industry conference? • Choose to review subject areas of what you know and love.
6. What makes a great review? • Share the positive about each review. • Be as descriptive as possible in the critique. • There is always a way to take the time to point out what IS working and how to improve. • If something is borderline, a review that goes into detail is going to be much more useful (to the committee and the author). • While brief reviews are easier to write, they have more potential for causing problems further down the pipeline.
