Museums are all these things and more....
Museums are playful, serious, creative....
Museums are incredible places....
Filled with incredible people....
Doing incredible things....
We’re in the joy
business...
We’re in the
peace
business...
We’re in the
respect
business...
We’re in the fun
business...
We’re in the
creativity
business...
We’re in the
tourism
business...
We’re in the
games business...
Museums are
amazing places...
But there’s so
much left to do!
More people don’t use
museums than do
We have to break out of
the 3 visits in a lifetime
model
We’re closed when
people are open
Online is no kind of
substitute
Digitisation without a
way of reaching your
audience is worse than
building a museum with
no doors
Copyright is not a good
enough reason not to do
something
Holding back the
processes of time and
decay has a huge
environmental cost
Many voices, many
stories
Museums work best
when they work as a
coherent unit (silos are
bad)
People who work in
museums are human
beings too
(Sometimes you need to
look up)
Museums are incredible places....
Filled with incredible people....
Doing incredible things....
