This document describes three temperate climates: Mediterranean, continental, and oceanic.
The Mediterranean climate has mild, wet winters and hot, dry summers with precipitation under 800 mm mainly in autumn and spring. Its landscapes include Mediterranean forests of evergreen trees and scrublands of bushes.
The continental climate is inland with large temperature variations between very hot summers and very cold winters. Precipitation is irregular, mostly in summer. Its landscapes include coniferous forests, prairies, and steppes.
The oceanic climate has mild, consistent temperatures between 10-15°C and regular, abundant precipitation over 1000 mm annually. Its landscape is dominated by deciduous forests and moors
