God wants us to focus on His purposes rather than our own plans, and to see things from His perspective rather than our limited human view. We should wait for God to reveal what He wants to accomplish through us, and then join Him in His work. It's more important to understand what God is doing in our situation than to tell God what we want to do for Him. When God reveals His activity, it is an invitation to partner with Him. God still speaks to His people today through the Bible, prayer, circumstances, and the church to guide us in His will. When God speaks, He intends for us to respond immediately, as His timing is perfect to develop us for His purposes.
