Prayer ‘Off the Rack”
FIRST, one can use ready-made prayers because:
• They’re great – written beautifully & express
what I’m feeling right now
• They connect me with the eternal Church – I join
with all Christians who have prayed that prayer
since the 12th century
• They connect me with the universal Church –
Practically all Christians pray the Lord’s Prayer.
Spiritually unite with world’s 2 billion Christians
• They connect me with me – interconnect my past
with my present & future, ordinary with
transcendent, reality with ideal
